Shocking Closure: Shane Lynch’s Cheshire Pub Shuts Down Amidst New Boyzone Documentary Explosions!

An Irish bar opened by Boyzone star Shane Lynch has been shut down abruptly without an explanation.

The establishment known as D13, which opened in Knutsford, Cheshire, in the year 2021 and was named after Shane’s Dublin postal code, underwent a name change by the year 2023 and is now called Rusty Shamrock.

Shane, age 48, and his wife Sheena, age 44, served as the public representatives for D13 when it initially launched.

As an ardent admirer, I find myself stepping into the shoes of none other than Nathan Gerhold, the movie stuntman who heroically took the reins in managing their beloved pub.

The threesome renovated the centuries-old structure into a contemporary Irish pub, boasting a Guinness Garden and a sunny outdoor area that attracts sunlight.

After a year, the Lynches were delighted by the friendly reception they encountered in Knutsford, as their pub was the initial Irish business to establish itself there.

However, by July 2023, the establishment underwent a transformation and became known as The Rusty Shamrock. It is said that Shane chose to relinquish control, while Nathan continued leading the operations.

The tavern continued to be a well-loved hangout within the community, often attracting notable personalities like Edele and Keavy Lynch, the pop stars siblings of Shane, as well as providing a platform for local talents through their live shows.

As the holiday season was approaching last year, I found myself regrettably out of luck when my beloved Rusty Shamrock had to close its doors temporarily due to the landlord taking possession of the property.

On the door of Cheshire House, a Notice of Eviction was posted, stating: ‘This property was peacefully taken back by the landlord on 6th December 2024, and the lease that began on 12th October 2020 has been terminated due to forfeiture.’

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’ve observed that the esteemed owners of The Rusty Shamrock opted to remain silent regarding recent events. However, it appears their landlords have swiftly found a suitable replacement tenant for the venue.

It’s being planned to transform the location into a bar in February, however, there’s still doubt about whether it will continue with its Irish theme.

News emerged earlier that Shane’s pub is shutting down, preceding the premiere of a sensational new documentary focusing on Irish boyband Boyzone.

In an open and unreserved manner, I delve into the intricacies of my prolonged disagreement with the band and Louis Walsh, as we candidly air our perspectives during episodes of the program.

On February 2, the three-part series will be aired on Sky Documentaries and NOW, offering fans an insight into the ‘saga of fame, disputes, and misfortune’ experienced by the band.

In the year of ’93, I, a passionate visionary, ignited the flame that would become Boyzone. It was then that I decided to craft an Irish version of Take That, a dream burning in my heart. We soared together until 1999, when our journey took a brief pause. However, the spirit of Boyzone could not be silenced for long. In 2007, we regrouped once more, with me steering the ship. During those years apart, I also had the privilege of guiding Ronan Keating’s solo career. But alas, in the year of ’18, the ties that bound us were severed for good.

The latest preview reveals the team confessing that they experienced some particularly harsh periods while under Louis’s management.

Reflecting on our early career years, Ronan Keating says in the trailer, “We were more like a group of youngsters thrown together. We weren’t flawless, we hadn’t been honed yet.

Louis, the architect of the lads’ success, subsequently makes an appearance on screen, delivering a sharp remark: “I find common folks more appealing, as they exert greater effort. They are also more willing to comply with your initial requests.

During the video, this comment was among several the Irish manager directed at the band, and it’s offered within an ongoing dispute with lead vocalist Ronan.

In the trailer, at a certain moment, Shane remarks about collaborating with Louis, saying he had promised them the best of everything, like the sun, moon, and stars.

Instead of boasting that he masterminded the band’s widespread promotion, Louis jokingly remarks: ‘They fell for their own hype. They overlooked the fact that I was the one who penned it.’

In a Nutshell: The Boyzone: No Matter What Documentary Outline: “They became one of the greatest and timeless boy bands ever – yet, off-stage, strife, rivalry, deceit, and sorrow drove them apart.

Thirty years later, the four surviving members – Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, and Michael ‘Mikey’ Graham, along with their former manager, Louis Walsh, are disclosing the actual events, sharing tales of their astonishing peaks during their swift rise to fame, and discussing the significant impact being in a boyband had on each individual.
