Shocking Behind-the-Scenes Moments from SNL 50 That Celebrities Don’t Want You to See!

Audience members enjoyed performances by celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Cher at the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert on Friday, but what they missed were surprising backstage encounters with top-tier stars.

A large number of well-known personalities found themselves within the confines of the famous Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The hall, an iconic landmark, was surrounded by numerous security personnel and barricades to prevent unauthorized access by fans or individuals lacking tickets.

many celebrity couples enjoyed a romantic evening out, including Jason Momoa with Adria Arjona, Miles Teller with Keleigh Sperry, Alec Baldwin with Hilaria Baldwin, Amy Schumer with Chris Fischer, John Mulaney with Olivia Munn, Anya Taylor-Joy with Malcolm McRae, Jerry Seinfeld with Jessica Seinfeld, Claire Danes with Hugh Dancy, and Tom Hanks with Rita Wilson.

On Valentine’s Day, Robert De Niro, aged 81, was accompanied by his girlfriend Tiffany Chen. They maintained a low profile, with De Niro seated at the very back of the orchestra section, still wearing his black hat and winter garment.

81-year-old De Niro and 45-year-old Chen were spotted enjoying themselves, dancing with the entertainers. At a particular moment, the martial arts teacher even embraced the actor.

Or simply:

De Niro (81) and Chen (45) danced with performers, and at one point, the martial arts instructor wrapped her arms around the actor in an embrace.

Both versions convey the same meaning while maintaining a natural and easy-to-read style.

Some other famous figures who were not part of the broadcast included Ryan Phillippe, who went with his son Deacon (Reese Witherspoon’s child), Sacha Baron Cohen (currently going through a difficult divorce with Isla Fisher), and Ice Spice, who was joined by two male companions, just a few days after hanging out at the Super Bowl with her friend Taylor Swift.

Additionally, both Martin Short and Steve Martin from “Only Murders in the Building” made an appearance, yet their colleague Selena Gomez was absent as she had prior Valentine’s Day commitments with her partner, Benny Blanco.

During Miley Cyrus’s show, she grew slightly irritated when the audience didn’t stand up, and she made a comment about it during the live event.

Her mom, Tish Cyrus, was the only one standing up in the beginning.

Miley addressed the crowd, “Is it the Grammy custom where you’re well-known and don’t participate in singing along? I apologize for the language.

This action, in turn, spurred Adam Sandler (accompanied by his wife Jackie and their children) to rise from his seat, an act that ultimately drew Miley’s focus on stage.

She acknowledged him publicly, and following this gesture, the comedian rose from his seat. In turn, numerous others also stood up to applaud and support her.

Immediately following Miley’s act, Tish and her spouse, Dominic Purcell, hastily left their seats to reconnect with Miley backstage.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must say that Adam Sandler and Tiffany Haddish truly shone at the event, radiating an infectious energy. In fact, Adam was seen grooving along with the music more than anyone else among the star-filled gathering. And Tiffany? She was on her feet frequently, dancing enthusiastically to multiple artists’ performances.

He said hi to Post Malone during a commercial break and shook his hand.

Additionally, Jon Hamm was seen grooving to a live band situated near the concession stands outside the theater, even though he was out of camera view.

He was on his way to buy some food, with his wife Anna Osceola by his side, when he unexpectedly broke into a dance as they passed by a live music band.

As a devoted admirer, I found myself frequently crossing paths with renowned figures at the bustling hub of food and refreshments during events. Between acts and advertising interludes, these stars would often pause for brief, delightful conversations.

During most of the three-hour broadcast, Rob Riggle was found engaging with his companions at the snack bar area.

In the course of an evening, it nearly happened that ex-pals James Franco and Seth Rogen found themselves in an uncomfortable situation where they might have crossed paths.

James and Seth were seen at the concession stand area about 45 minutes apart. 

In a casual setting, James (the Pineapple Express star) was accompanied by his partner Isabel Pakzad when they decided on their meal together. Incidentally, they encountered Kristen Wiig, who warmly embraced James and conversed with him briefly for a short while.

I, being a dedicated fan, couldn’t help but notice that I found myself in the same vicinity as Seth at the concession stand area post-James’ appearance. I even had the pleasure of chatting with three friends, one of whom was none other than Steve Higgins from The Tonight Show!

Following the concert, I waited a bit longer than anticipated, and eventually, the performers lingered behind to mingle with a few of their fellow professionals in the entertainment industry.

Meryl Streep was surrounded by friends, including Tina Fey and Nia Vardalos. 

Down another aisle, the popular pair Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost were conversing with their companions, taking some time before exiting the cinema.

Close to midnight, the remaining concert attendees, including celebrities, were instructed by security personnel to exit Radio City Music Hall.

After the concert ended, a lively after-party ensued at the upscale Pebble Bar. Some celebrities, including Keegan-Michael Key, chose to brave the cold 30-degree weather and stroll a few blocks instead of using their private car services to get there.

At-home viewers who caught the live show on Peacock were treated to performances by popular artists like Dave Grohl, Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, Backstreet Boys, Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, alongside past and present Saturday Night Live stars, including Will Ferrell, Maya Rudolph, Andy Samberg, Tracy Morgan, and Kenan Thompson.

Notable stars mingling together were Peter Davidson, former partner Emily Ratajkowski, Jenna Ortega, Kevin Costner, Forest Whitaker, Ed Helms, Kate McKinnon, Whoopi Goldberg, Chloe Fineman, Craig Melvin, Cecily Strong, Sandra Oh, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Dan Levy, Peyton Manning, Woody Harrelson, Topher Grace, and Chris Pine, alongside numerous others.
