Shock update in King of the Hill star Jonathan Joss murder investigation as police backtrack on hate crime statement

The police, currently probing the tragic, senseless homicide of Jonathan Joss, formerly known as “King of The Hill,” have issued an apology for their earlier statement dismissing the possibility that his death was motivated by prejudice.

59-year-old Joss passed away in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday, following an incident with his neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, which occurred outside their shared residence.

Law enforcement officials apprehended Ceja under suspicion of murder, and he’s currently being held. This week, a bond of $200,000 secured his temporary release.

According to Joss’ husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, the incident that led to Joss’ death was an act of hate motivated by homophobia. However, the San Antonio Police Department later released a statement disputing this idea.

At a press conference on Thursday, San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus corrected his earlier statement, stating that it was released far too quickly.

He pointed out: ‘It was premature to issue such a statement, as we lacked the necessary information at the time.’

We recognize that members of the LGBTQ+ community are experiencing anxiety and concern, much of which stems from recent events. We apologize for any distress this may be causing.

The passing away of Jonathan Joss was deeply sorrowful for the LGBTQ+ community, and they are also worried about the circumstances surrounding his death and the events that led up to it.

According to a representative from the San Antonio Police Department, contrary to rumors online, there’s been no discovery so far that suggests Mr. Joss’s murder was motivated by his sexual orientation in the ongoing investigation.

Fresh information about the events leading up to the recent violent incident has surfaced in a police report. According to an anonymous source, they transported Joss from Austin to his charred San Antonio residence at approximately 7 pm on June 1st, in order to retrieve his mail.

The witness stated that she stopped her vehicle in the driveway, taking a moment to stay put, until Joss and another individual went to retrieve the mail. Gonzales, who is married to Joss, asserted that he and the actor were together during this journey and at the time of the murder.

According to the report, she stated that suspect Ceja drove his car, accompanied by a passenger, and parked it right behind hers.

According to her account, she witnessed an apparent argument between Joss and Ceja through her rearview mirror. She further stated that Ceja threatened Joss by saying he possessed a firearm and was prepared to use it against him. Subsequently, she claimed that Ceja subsequently shot Joss.

According to the report, Joss was declared deceased at around 7:20 PM on the spot, while Ceja was promptly apprehended by the police. Upon arrest, he admitted, “I shot him,” and his firearms were confiscated immediately.

According to the report, Ceja deliberately and consciously fired a weapon at Joss, causing his demise.

It was stated by Joss’ spouse that the celebrity’s demise was an act of murder motivated by homophobia, but in a surprising turn of events, the authorities have discarded this hypothesis.

As a passionate supporter, I’ve got to share some clarity on a recent event concerning Mr. Joss. Contrary to the rumors swirling online, the San Antonio PD has yet to uncover any tangible proof suggesting that his tragic death was motivated by hate based on his sexual orientation. The investigation is still ongoing, but for now, let’s keep an open mind and wait for definitive results.

On the weekend just gone, Joss (with a following of 9K on social media) posted a cheerful video, inviting his supporters to drop by Tribe Comics and Games, located in Austin, Texas, for a meet-and-greet signing session.
