This week, Allison Holker disclosed a surprising aspect of her late husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’s personal life, sparking controversy as it comes in the midst of a dispute between her and his family regarding the disclosures in her memoir.

36-year-old Holker, previously married to Boss from 2013 until Boss’s suicide in 2022, has faced criticism from family members for promoting her book, which alleges drug use and brands her as a ‘greedy opportunist’ who is capitalizing on Boss’s memory for self-advantage.

During an appearance on the Monday edition of The Jamie Kern Lima Show podcast, Holker explained: “I’m comfortable telling this tale now because he initially shared it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Hearing him discuss it on television left me heartbroken.

During that time, our relationship was still fresh and thrilling, as we were both embarking on significant tours – mine across the nation, his globally. This meant that instead of the usual dating routine, we were constantly traveling to meet each other and cheer each other on at our respective performances.

We discovered a set of stairs that led us to a platform or temporary structure above the audience. This elevated vantage point allowed us an incredible view, where we could see the actors from Glee who were performing. In essence, they were performing right before our eyes.

We had recently initiated a passionate moment together, yet below us, spectators enthusiastically roared and cheered, unaware of our secluded situation above them.

It had a somewhat romantic feel. We began to act intimately when, unexpectedly, security started shining their lights, asking, ‘Who’s up here?’ We instantly froze, but for some reason they didn’t spot us. They departed, and we hastily exited the place. That was undoubtedly one of the wildest experiences I’ve had in my life.

She said she was ‘thankful’ the pair ‘did not get caught’. 

I truly believe that action would have been extremely unwise and I wouldn’t recommend it to others. However, at the time, it was more of a spontaneous decision. It was incredibly risky. I can’t explain how it transpired. We were just reckless teenagers. It was quite thrilling.

Speaking about what initially drew her to Boss, she mentioned that his aura had a unique blend of strength and warmth.

The Boss family is questioning Holker regarding the accusations in her upcoming book, which will be published on February 4.

According to reports, Holker’s Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), which was signed by the family members of her deceased husband Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss, allegedly bars them from earning profits by sharing his life story.

According to TMZ, the Non-Disclosure Agreement guarantees that any monetary benefits arising from Holker’s name will solely benefit him.

In simpler terms, the document given to Twitch’s relatives prior to his funeral reportedly forbids them from earning money through interviews, writing books, creating articles, or undertaking media projects concerning him.

Any individual who has signed the contract is obligated to transfer any profits derived from those projects to Holker. Consequently, it’s Holker alone who stands to financially profit from his story.

Although bound by an NDA, Twitch’s family has openly criticized Holker for marketing her book, alleging that she presents him in an unfavorable manner, involving accusations of drug use and labeling her as someone who is financially motivated, using his memory to further her own interests.

Indeed, it’s worth noting that Holker has repeatedly made clear that all profits generated from her book are earmarked for the Move with Kindness Foundation, a charitable organization she founded in memory of tWitch.

A trusted confidant disclosed that ‘tWitch’s relatives are planning a response following Allison’s harsh accusations against him.

‘The family disapproves what she’s said and will be speaking out about the untruths.’

Earlier this month, Connie Boss Alexander, the mother of Twitch, published a message on Instagram addressing the ‘inaccurate and painful allegations’ concerning her son.

She expressed deep shock and disapproval, stating that the falsehoods about Stephen have surpassed all boundaries of decency, leaving the family utterly outraged.

In her own words, she declared that as their mother, she wouldn’t allow the allegations to pass without a response. She emphasized that they won’t be idle spectators while his reputation and heritage are sullied. She believes he doesn’t deserve such treatment, and neither do their children.

Over the past two years, I’ve chosen solitude and kept a low profile to safeguard my family. My main concern has been about healing and staying in touch with my grandkids.

However, upon reading such upsetting assertions concerning our cherished son, Stephen, it became clear that I could no longer remain quiet. As a family, we pledge to safeguard his name and legacy, and we stand resolute in upholding his dignity.

Known most notably for his role as the DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, it was tragically confirmed that he took his own life at the age of 40, in a motel in Los Angeles.

During an interview with People magazine, Boss’ wife shared that she delved into his personal journals to gain some understanding. What she uncovered there was a deeply distressing secret, one she claims was concealed not only from the public but also from those who were closest to him.

She asserted that his personal diary hinted at experiences of sexual abuse by a male authority figure during his youth.

In addition, she mentioned discovering a variety of drugs such as mushrooms, pills, and other substances that needed to be researched using her phone, all concealed within the shoe boxes.

Allison, aged 36, shared, ‘That moment was quite disturbing for me as I found many things in our closet that I wasn’t aware of before. It was shocking to uncover so much activity that I hadn’t been informed about.’

One of Boss’ relatives has publicly labeled Allison as a “woman perceived as eccentric” who is allegedly attempting to sully his reputation, and stated that she is reluctant to allow the Boss family to meet twitch and Allison’s children – Weslie (age 16), Maddox (age 8), and Zaia (age 5).

Cousin ‘Big Elle’, referring to themselves on platform X, added, “I’m fed up with holding my tongue, man. You really tarnished our family’s reputation.

Simultaneously, Allison’s ex-friend’s Instagram post comment was re-shared by Boss’ brother Dre Rose, saying, “Nothing but the truth.

Later on, he posted another friend’s Instagram story onto his own account, with the caption, “Such a shameful and vile act to inflict sorrow upon a mourning family.

Courtney Ann Platt, a former friend of Allison’s, strongly criticized the book and its publishers, calling it an extremely tasteless, thoughtless, self-serving move that she has never encountered in her lifetime.

As a devoted admirer, I too was astounded by the allegation that the ex-Dancing with the Stars professional reportedly asked individuals to sign confidentiality agreements prior to attending his funeral.

Later on, Courtney expressed disapproval towards Allison for airing their personal issues publicly, tarnishing my friend’s reputation, and casting a shadow over the noble, affectionate, radiant image of her spouse.

She also slammed the widow for ‘shamelessly sharing the pages’ of her late husband’s journal.

‘This underhanded attempt to tarnish his reputation for personal gain was never something he would have supported, no matter how badly he was suffering. To address the criticism, Allison emphasized that her purpose in penning the 240-page memoir was to help others identify the ‘warning signs’ (red flags) that she overlooked earlier, so they can spot them before it’s too late.

She expressed her wish on Instagram that no more men will have to end their lives through suicide, taking away husbands, brothers, fathers, and friends from us.

I’m convinced that given the chance, Stephen would want his tale shared, as it could potentially save a single life. Many warm regards to everyone who has stood by us through thick and thin over the years.
