Kate Ceberano recently disclosed an unexpected concern that troubles her about her daughter Gypsy Rogers, who is turning 21 years old.

Lately, the offspring of the 58-year-old Australian pop sensation took to Instagram to post a picture of herself slicing her birthday cake, accompanied by thoughtful remarks in her caption.

On my twenty-first birthday, there was a mix of sweetness and sadness. The day was delightful spent with my dear ones, yet beneath the surface, this specific birthday had filled me with apprehension.

The emerging vocalist shared that she faced considerable challenges during the lengthy Covid lockdowns, and she’s currently working hard to regain some semblance of routine in her life.

At times, it seems as if the pandemic has disrupted the normal rhythm of my life. The familiar patterns and organized structure I once had now appear muddled and disorganized.

Life is made up of transitions, and I thought by now, at age 21, I would be fully prepared to conquer the world, but somehow, I’m not. It’s as if a part of me is stuck, and I can’t help but feel frustrated about it. Over the past three years, I’ve been grappling with this feeling.

Kate started by saying, “I’m listening to you, my dear! Your time will bring unique challenges that none of us faced before. The echoes of YOUR spirit resonate so strongly in your music, and I’m eager for everyone to experience this fresh collection.

Gypsy appreciated her mother’s kind words and responded: ‘Thank you mama.’ 

Simultaneously, Angela, Kate’s sister-in-law, shared some thoughtful reflections: “COVID-19 affected us all tremendously. Rest assured, you aren’t the only one. It was a difficult, disheartening, melancholic, and frightening period in our lives.

‘You’ve got time and you’ll make up for it. But it’s bloody s**t that you have to.’ 

I can’t help but feel a deep connection as a devoted admirer when I talk about Gypsy, who’s no ordinary kid – she’s the one-and-only offspring of the legendary Australian pop star Kate Ceberano and the esteemed film director Lee Rogers.

By January 2024, there were reports indicating that Gypsy’s bond with Lewis, son of Kate Langbroek, was deepening significantly.

It’s reported by New Idea magazine that the relationship between these nepotism offspring has been progressing strongly since April 2023, with no signs of slowing down.

A daughter, continuing the musical legacy left by her mom, and Lewis had a delightful camping adventure together in Bright, Victoria over the summer vacation.

The lovebirds also set sailed on Sydney Harbour with a group of friends earlier this month.

In a show of approval, both Kates are delighted by their kids’ growing romance. Ceberano, in particular, made a remark on one of their vacation photos.

‘My darlings love that you are there together,’ she wrote.
