Okay, so I’m hearing that Sam Thompson is having a really tough time post-surgery. Apparently, he hasn’t been able to speak for three days now, and it’s understandably causing him a lot of stress. It’s completely normal to feel anxious when you can’t communicate like you usually do, and it sounds like he’s really feeling that right now. Louise, his sister, shared a video on Instagram Wednesday showing the TV personality’s current health. The video shows him answering the door without a shirt on.
After having a cyst removed earlier this week, 33-year-old Sam was home relaxing in joggers, looking a bit down and with his hair unkempt.
Louise described a man who seemed unwell. He was unable to speak and had just shown her a video of a cat on a skeleton.
She shared a video with the message: ‘Sam had throat surgery and can’t speak for three days. Please send him funny cat videos to cheer him up!’
‘He’s putting on a brave face but I can tell he is freaking out.’
Sam said he’s getting surgery on his vocal cords to remove a cyst, which developed after straining his voice by shouting a lot.
The reality TV star, who used to be on Made In Chelsea, posted videos to his Instagram Story while in a hospital gown before his surgery.

‘It’s because I talk to much and shout too loudly and I keep losing my voice really easily.
They’re going to remove it surgically, and I’ll be under anesthesia for the first time. I’m a little anxious because I don’t like the feeling of being out of control.
You know, even after all these years, family is still there for you! I recently had a little procedure, and it was actually pretty funny – my sister Louise is the one driving me home, and I’m 33! It’s good to be taken care of, no matter how old you get.
Louise updated everyone on her son’s condition while on her way to pick him up. She explained he wouldn’t be able to speak for three days after the procedure, which she worried would be difficult for him because he’s usually so lively and chatty.
Sam is having surgery soon. This comes after he told his girlfriend, Talitha Balinska, about his Valentine’s Day plans, which unfortunately had to change because a planned ski trip fell through.
He started dating the model in September after his split from Zara McDermott in 2024.

On Monday’s episode of his podcast, Staying Relevant, Sam shared with his close friend Pete Wicks that he was feeling anxious about his first Valentine’s Day with Talitha. He also talked about what he had planned for the special occasion.
Sam described his simple plan for the day: he wants to personally give her a card and roses, then cook her a romantic dinner at home with wine.
He’d originally planned a romantic ski trip for Talitha, as he mentioned on a recent podcast, but they had to cancel due to work schedules. This led him to create new Valentine’s Day plans.
To be honest, I’m not a big fan of exchanging gifts for Valentine’s Day,” Sam explained. “I think it shouldn’t be focused on presents. I do like roses, but not too many – a small, thoughtful bouquet is perfect.
‘Red roses, or maybe a bit of mixed actually white and a red, two dozen.’
Okay, so last month Sam finally told Talitha how he feels! Apparently, they were just chilling on the sofa, and he blurted out that he’s totally in love with her! He confessed to Pete he’d been feeling this way for a while, but actually saying it was the hard part. I’m dying! It feels like forever we’ve all been waiting for this!
