Shirtless Rob Lowe, 61, Mistaken for John Stamos on Beach Run

Over the Easter holiday, Rob Lowe was seen keeping busy with a jog on the beach in Montecito, sporting only a pair of running shorts.

On March 17th, the man once known as a childhood actor celebrated his 61st birthday, and he still appeared fit and vibrant. He showcased his well-toned physique, complemented by a pair of red shorts and a red baseball cap.

Regardless of his timeless charm and extensive career spanning films and TV shows, he was recently misidentified as another celebrity.

Last week, Lowe humorously shared on Instagram that while traveling through Hollywood, a tour guide mistook him for the Full House actor, John Stamos.

On Easter Sunday, the actor from The Outsiders – who had playfully teased Nicole Kidman regarding one of her more daring roles – opted to wear his hat in reverse during his workout. This allowed the sunlight to shine on his sun-kissed face and rugged goatee.

The man, who is married to Sheryl Berkoff and has two sons named Matthew (age 32) and John (age 29), showed off his muscular arms with tattoos and wore a long necklace featuring a cross pendant.

He inserted a blue T-shirt into the belt loop of his shorts as he trod on the sand, donning a pair of dark sneakers.

Last week, Rob shared a video of an embarrassing run in with a drive-by Hollywood tour.

As a devoted follower, I found myself behind the wheel of a packed van one day, when suddenly, I stopped the vehicle right before the famous face known as John Stamos. With a proud gesture, I exclaimed, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is John Stamos!

Rob turned to the camera with a miffed expression and mouthed, ‘What the f***?’

Afterward, the tour guide playfully commented, “He seems to resemble him,” as John Stamos-like figure drew near the vehicle, inquiring, “Alright, fellas, is it me, John Stamos?

The passengers cheered ‘no’ in unison, prompting Rob to ask: ‘Who am I?’

Scattered voiced shouted out his name, to which he emphatically replied, ‘Thank you!’

In the caption, he addressed his younger son Johnny Lowe, asking if it wasn’t a joke by writing, “Is this a prank on me, Johnny Lowe?

Johny playfully replied in the comments: ‘The people have spoken.’ 

Recenty, Stamos found himself in a sticky situation following his role as the host at a charity event for nurses, which took place at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

Rob keeps himself occupied by running the podcast titled “Literally! With Rob Lowe,” which frequently features high-profile guests such as Adam Scott, Jason Isaacs, and Kristin Davis. Moreover, he serves as the host for the Tubi game show named “The Floor.

Previously this year, Lowe aided his younger sibling, Chad Lowe, as he navigated through the tragic loss of his house due to the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles.

In simple terms, my brother shared with ET in July that tragically, his home along with all its contents was destroyed. The entire neighborhood where he lived no longer exists.

‘He has three little girls. All their friends lost everything,’ he added.

Rob shared that he opened up his closet to Chad, 57, offering him ‘big brother hand-me-downs.’

As I reveled in my trove of Big Brother hand-me-downs, I found myself transported back to my 15-year-old self, a fact I couldn’t help but remark upon as the cherished teenager of yore.

‘He chuckled, saying, ‘He enjoys donning the attire of a fatherly figure, and I tease him about it often. That’s why I picked out his favorite ‘dad shoes’ – Hokas.’
