Jelly Roll was spotted in Sydney on Friday just hours before he cancelled his New Zealand concert.
The 40-year-old rapper, who was born in the US, was relaxing on his hotel balcony just before he had to cancel his last concert because he wasn’t feeling well.
The performer was seen scrolling through his phone as he relaxed in black shorts.
Jelly Roll’s concert in Auckland on Friday night was cancelled, and fans who had already entered the venue were notified of the change.
After the event was canceled at the last minute, a lot of upset fans went to social media to share their frustration.
One concertgoer expressed extreme disappointment, writing, “I can’t believe the Auckland show was cancelled when people were already traveling to the venue!”

Someone asked Jelly what happened, saying they thought they had a connection and were surprised he canceled the concert.
One person commented that they could have saved thousands of dollars on flights and hotels, and included a sad face emoji.
‘I get it but one hour before, really!!’ another added.
The popular country singer from Nashville told his fans online that he’d tried his best to perform in Auckland, but unfortunately, he was too sick to go through with it.
He wrote to his Auckland fans, explaining he’d tried everything but couldn’t overcome whatever was preventing him from performing. He was heartbroken about having to cancel the show, as he rarely misses performances – only about three in the last ten years – and always strives to be there for his audience. He apologized for letting them down and asked for their understanding.
Jelly Roll touched down at Sydney Airport last month ahead of his first headline Australian tour.
I couldn’t help but notice how amazing the performer looked at the airport! Word on the street is they’ve lost a whopping 90 kilograms – that’s incredible dedication and a seriously impressive transformation. It’s so inspiring to see someone prioritize their health and well-being, and they’re clearly glowing from the results.
The Wild Ones hitmaker has since played shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Earlier this month, singer Jelly Roll said he felt he was unfairly treated like a criminal while shopping at a Louis Vuitton store in Sydney.
Honestly, when I heard about this, everyone immediately started saying he totally brought it on himself! It’s everywhere – people are saying this 40-year-old rapper is the one to blame for how he was supposedly treated at that fancy fashion place. I can’t believe the reaction, but a lot of people seem to feel that way.
The musician, whose real name is Jason DeFord, was seen outside the store in the city center wearing his usual sweats and a baseball cap on backwards.
The artist, who has a lot of tattoos and is originally from Tennessee, seemed upset and started speaking, saying, ‘Hey, the Louis Vuitton store in Sydney basically acted like we were about to rob them.’
I’ve rarely felt so judged – it reminded me of a time when I was actually doing something wrong. Honestly, I felt like a criminal all over again.
