Shirley Ballas’ Savage Diet Secret: Eating Just ONE Meal a Day!

However, Shirley Ballas, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing at 64 years old, has disclosed an unconventional dietary strategy she follows to keep her size 10 physique, and this might be too bold for some.
According to Shirley, eating three meals a day becomes difficult once you hit your sixties.
She informed The Sun, “During my initial month on the Strictly Come Dancing tour last year, I added about ten pounds to my weight. Later, I discovered that, Shirley, it’s not appropriate for someone over 60 to consume breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Eager to shake up my routine, I chose to forego breakfast and lunch this time around, instead indulging in a substantial dinner. This meal usually consists of a heaping plate of rice paired with lean cuts of beef or poultry.
Shirley, fresh off her breakup with Danny Taylor, aged 51, is likewise committed to intermittent fasting as part of her lifestyle.
She informed the press: ‘I’ve come to understand that my body doesn’t require as much food as I’ve been eating. As a result, I make an effort to look after it properly.’
In the mornings, I usually skip breakfast. Around midday, I typically drink a juice, and then between 4 and 5 pm, my mom prepares an amazing meal for us.
Recently, Shirley shared that her mom gifted her a rice cooker at Christmas, leading her to switch from eating salads to enjoying sticky rice with beef stroganoff instead – quite a delightful alteration.
Opting for just one meal a day results in approximately 750 kilocalories consumed each day, which means you’ll likely feel quite hungry. It’s important to note that both men and women typically require around 2,500 calories per day (for men) and 2,000 calories per day (for women) to maintain their current weight.

When her schedule allows, Motsi joins me for a workout session at the gym.
Shirley embarked on her fitness journey when she turned 40 years old. Maintaining her physique has always required careful attention to her diet, given that it’s not an effortless task for her.
From an early age, her professional dancing career, during which she became known as the ‘Queen of Latin’, instilled a strong sense of discipline within her.
Apart from instructing dance, Shirley spends her free time doing yoga, cycling on her Peloton bike, and taking cold baths in ice to rejuvenate herself.
