As someone who has been following Strictly Come Dancing for years now, I must admit, this season has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! The performances, the costumes, and the chemistry between the celebrities and their professional partners have been absolutely mesmerizing.

Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas has hit back at ‘fix’ claims after fans were left outraged by their decision to send home Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin.

Upon the couple’s departure from the TV competition on Sunday evening, some viewers expressed their concerns that the judges might have been undervaluing their performances compared to those perceived as weaker dancers, who seemed to be receiving higher scores.

However, Shirley, aged 64, wasn’t swayed by the allegations and, following the program, she utilized X to address a viewer’s query. Her message read, ‘It’s immature to point fingers at the judges.’

It’s really annoying when the judges don’t accurately judge, leading to incorrect participants in the elimination round and the wrong pair leaving the competition.

Observing the gradual disappearance of Sam’s smile every week following her accomplishments became frustrating, especially when errors made by her male peers were overlooked.

Angrily responding, Shirley pointed out: “For more than two decades now, the audience’s votes matter in this show. It’s you, the audience, who have the power to decide which contestants stay. It’s immature to keep blaming the judges.

Yet, despite this, her supporters persisted in their belief that she was in error, alleging instances where she had marked too harshly (overmarking) and not harshly enough (undermarking) certain dance partnerships.

‘To put it frankly, you seem to have been overemphasizing errors made by people like Wynne from the start, while barely noting mistakes committed by male celebrities. Then, when a woman like Sam makes even the smallest mistake, you are quick to criticize. It’s only natural that this approach would influence the judges and affect the overall outcome.’

Dear Shirley, it seemed clear in the show that you appeared to favor one contestant, even when he made errors, and were excessively critical of Sam. Additionally, it appeared as though you gave undue praise to Wynne. This behavior isn’t sitting well with the show’s fans…

However, in your role as chief judge, it’s important to avoid phrases like “I’ll let that slide” towards specific contestants. This undermines the purpose of having judges, particularly when Motsi and Anton are known for being generous with their marks. Craig and you should strive to maintain a balanced scoring system instead.

It seems the judges appear to show preference towards other celebrities. While Wynne has barely danced for the past two weeks and receives a score of 30, Chris, who performs more, often lands at the bottom of the leaderboard.

“However, it seems like you’re shaping the voting process, Shirley.

As a die-hard fan, I was absolutely flabbergasted witnessing Sam and Nikita’s elimination from the competition this week. The shock still lingers!

During Saturday’s show, their American Smooth dance received a score of 29, placing them at the lowest end of the competition leaderboard.

Subsequently, following a public showdown, I found myself squaring off unexpectedly with both Montell Douglas and Johannas Radebe in a dance-off. Unfortunately, it was the judges who decided our fate, and we were eliminated from the competition.

But the scoring of the couple left fans outraged as they claimed they were unfairly scored.

In reference to X, previously known as Twitter, one wrote: ‘How can Wynne and Pete be so close, yet this situation is at the bottom rung?!’

‘If we don’t see Wynne or Pete in the dance off next week i am gunna kick off.’

‘I need Pete to be the dance off next week. We’re losing decent dancers and he’s just not there.’

‘#strictly pete shayne and wynne were the weakest!’

“Pete shouldn’t have performed this week; his performance was terrible. Reading the spoilers has made me quite upset. The other dancing duo should not have even been in danger of elimination.” (Paraphrased)

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I must express my disappointment in how the selection process of this show has unfolded. Sam, who truly deserved a spot, was unfortunately overlooked. Instead, Pete, who clearly displayed his potential, was chosen. Shirley, our judge, hasn’t been fair to Sam throughout the series, and her bias towards certain contestants is evident. It seems she needs to reconsider her position, as her choices have significantly impacted the quality of this show. Len, on the other hand, has always maintained a balanced approach, which makes Shirley’s actions even more noticeable.

It was unjust for Sam and Montel to miss out on the dance-off. Some average dancers, in my opinion, should have taken their place instead. It was extremely disappointing because they truly embodied the spirit of “Strictly”. I enjoyed watching them advance throughout the competition.

On Sunday, Sam and Nikita danced the American Smooth routine to Taylor Swift’s “Love Story” once more, whereas Montell and Johannes presented their Waltz performance to Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.

With a majority of three votes for Montell and Johannes, it means that Sam and Nikita received fewer votes, consequently exiting the competition.

Head Judge Shirley Ballas also agreed and said she would have decided to save Montell and Johannes.

When Tess inquired about her experience on the show, Sam responded by expressing regret but also gratitude, saying: “I’m really disappointed, but all I can do is offer my thanks.

As a devoted follower, I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge and insight. Strictly has rekindled the spark in me, making each day feel more vibrant. It’s been an utter pleasure, truly enjoyable every step of the way.

Dear Nikita, your role in bringing out my hidden ‘Sam’ has been pivotal. It seems he took a brief hiatus for about a year or two, but now he’s back. Unfortunately, I can’t help but feel disappointed because I believe there’s still more of me to share.

Nikita expressed his admiration by saying: “This girl truly leaves me amazed. While some people argue that it’s all about the process rather than the end result, I strongly believe it’s more about who you share that journey with.

‘Sam you are the most wonderful company I could have had.’

Sam expressed, “I can’t help but wonder how celebrities and dancers manage to maintain such relationships, given what I see them doing.

“The essence of your relationship seems to lie in the moments you share together and the qualities you draw forth from one another. In many ways, it feels like something special, almost enchanting – though I must admit that phrase sounds rather clichéd.

Audience members got to enjoy a showcase by the latest K-Pop boyband, dearALICE, along with an impressive collection of Beyoncé hits.

In the dance performance, Johannes embodied the spirit of Sasha Fierce, taking center stage, where he wore bedazzled cowboy hats, executed strong dance moves reminiscent of power ballads, and exuded a dazzling dose of attitude.

Strictly fans were left in shock after the results were again leaked online in a huge spoiler.

Several people were taken aback by the unexpected contestants who found themselves in the bottom two, requiring them to perform their dances again.

During the latest run of shows, some people have voiced their irritation over the recurring Sunday leaks, which are often attributed to a known informant.

On Twitter, they expressed their frustration by saying: ‘I’m genuinely irritated. The couples who danced off didn’t deserve to be there since they’ve been consistently improving each week. Meanwhile, some other pairs, who’ve had multiple weak performances, have continued advancing.’

‘WHAT?! I’M FLOORED!! This has fully p***ed me off actually.’,

I’m confused! Firstly, I don’t understand why both couples were in the dance-off? Secondly, I can’t fathom why the weaker ones are still competing?

What on earth have I just witnessed? Those two pairs weren’t meant to be participating in the dance-off from the start.
