Spike Chunsoft, the creators of games like Danganronpa S: Ultimate Summer Camp, has announced that Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Plus will be available on Android and iOS in Japan. The game will cost 3,500 yen, which is about $22. This mobile version includes all the free and paid downloadable content that was previously released for the Switch and PC versions, which launched in 2024.

Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Plus continues the adventure a few months after the events of Tsukikage Village. It features many challenging dungeons, and each playthrough is unique thanks to a world that changes with every attempt.

In this story, Shiren and his talking ferret companion, Koppa, have a strange vision of a faraway land and a girl who needs help. This vision leads them to Serpentcoil Island. Once there, they find that they aren’t the only ones seeking fortune – many other adventurers and warriors have also come, all hoping to find a legendary treasure hidden within a powerful monster.

Players can collect tools, team up with allies, and ask for Rescue

While playing, you’ll have to react to unexpected challenges as you gather tools and team up with allies to progress further. I personally enjoy how unpredictable the game is – the level design, the items you discover, and where you encounter enemies or helpful characters all change with each new playthrough.

I have to say, one of the coolest features is the Rescue system! If you happen to fall during a dungeon, you can call for help and keep your run going – you don’t lose all your progress, which is a huge relief. Honestly, the whole game just looks fantastic. I’m really loving the Japanese-inspired art style, the adorable characters, and the dungeons themselves. It all comes together to create something really special.

The classic roguelike RPG, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island Plus, is coming to Android and iOS devices in Japan.
