The Festival of Colors returns to Pokémon GO, and brings with it Shiny Bruxish for the first time.
The vibrant Festival of Colors returns to Pokémon GO, introducing a fresh, shimmering element to the game! Trainers can expect an array of thrilling wild appearances, along with an additional event bonus specifically designed for trainers residing in India.
We’ve got you covered with all the event details you need to know.
Pokémon GO Festival of Colors 2025
The Holi Celebration spans from Thursday, March 13th, 10:00 a.m., up until Monday, March 17th, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., all according to the local clock.
Over the next while, I’ll find myself stumbling upon some exciting surprises at those PokéStops! Just wait till I get near ’em and… voila! The fun begins!
Event bonuses
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Bruxish will appear more frequently when Trainers use Incense.
- Take a few snapshots each day of the event for a surprise!
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for two hours.
During the upcoming event, I’m thrilled to find myself unexpectedly encountering a Shiny Smeargle! However, please note that this Shiny Smeargle won’t stick around post-event, but there’s always a chance it could make a comeback in future gatherings.

Other Festival of Colors event details
Every time, you’ll find themed Field Research tasks waiting for you. Completing these tasks will net you some Stardust and encounters with Pokémon tailored to the ongoing event! (Gamer perspective: “As usual, there are themed Field Research tasks I can complete. These tasks reward me with Stardust and encounters with event-themed Pokémon.”)
Moreover, you’ll find both complimentary and premium versions of the Timed Research activities during the Holi celebration in Pokémon GO.
Besides that, there will be two options for Timed Research – one free and another paid – during the Pokémon GO Festival of Colors.
The free Timed Research will include the following rewards:
- One Incense
- Four Rare Candies
- Encounters with event-themed Pokémon
If you’re keen on diving deeper into the research, consider shelling out an extra $2. This will grant you access to the Exclusive Time-Limited Research, offering these tantalizing perks:
This way, I tried to make it more conversational and engaging by using “If you’re keen” instead of “Then,” and “consider” instead of “can access.” The rest of the sentence structure remains similar.
- Two Lure Modules
- Four Incense
- 2,000 Stardust
- Encounters with Bruxish
