SHIFT UP, the game developer supported by Tencent, announced that its main game, Project Spirits, will be published worldwide by Level Infinite. This is the second time the two companies have worked together. The game was originally shown in June 2025 and is now being co-developed with Yongxing Interactive, a company associated with Tencent.

It’s logical that Level Infinite will publish Project Spirits, as they’re already responsible for the worldwide release of GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE. Project Spirits itself is a new game for multiple platforms, built with Unreal Engine 5, and features a fantasy setting inspired by Eastern cultures.
Great news! SHIFT UP is now working with Yongxing Interactive to develop the game. Yongxing Interactive has a team of experienced developers from popular game studios who specialize in games with anime, comics, and gaming (ACG) themes. This partnership has increased my excitement, as both companies are dedicated to making this project even more successful than their previous collaboration.
Details about how the game will actually play are still scarce, but I’m hoping it’s the large-scale, city-based science fiction action RPG that SHIFT UP was hiring for last April. It’s clear the game will feature anime-inspired graphics, although some players might be put off by what appears to be AI-generated artwork.
As a gamer, I’m really excited to hear that Level Infinite is working on the next generation of games – they’re promising some awesome experiences for players all over the world! The big release is planned for 2027, so we’ll be getting more details in the months ahead. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for those updates!
