Shift Up Confirms Stellar Blade 2, Coming Before 2027

Just a short while back, Shift Up unveiled the all-encompassing Stellar Blade: The Complete Edition, which includes their much-lauded game, offering fresh material for both PS5 and PC releases in the upcoming month.

For the very first time, Stellar Blade can be played on personal computers; however, it appears that its release may not extend to numerous regions worldwide because Sony has enforced a region lock.

With the conclusion of Stellar Blade’s development and post-launch support, Shift Up is ready to affirm that they intend to create and launch a follow-up game.

In one of their slides during an investor relations talk, Shift Up detailed a schedule mapping out their strategic moves from 2024 to 2027. This schedule features two key milestones pertaining to Stellar Blade.

Among them, one is titled “Platform Growth”, a term that signifies the launch of the game for personal computers, while the other goes by “Sequel”, a name that clearly refers to Stellar Blade 2.

As per our joint schedule, Shift Up plans to unveil Stellar Blade 2 prior to the year 2027. Therefore, it’s possible that we might get our hands on Stellar Blade 2 as early as 2026, with a likely debut on the PS5 platform initially.

Of course, things can sometimes shift unexpectedly with projects like Stellar Blade 2, such as changes in plans or delays to future dates. So, it’s best to hold off on any definitive conclusions and wait for a more official announcement regarding its release.

Given the positive critical acclaim and market success that Stellar Blade has garnered, it’s logical for Shift Up to promptly begin developing a follow-up title, as this is exactly what its enthusiastic fanbase desires.

A Mysterious New Game Labeled “Project Witches”

Additionally, you’ll find another entry titled “Project Witches,” which might just be a fresh concept. If the whispers are true, this project is said to be an action game reminiscent of Stellar Blade in style.

On June 11, 2025, the action-packed game, Stellar Blade, will arrive on PC. Owners of the PlayStation 5 version can look forward to receiving the additional content from the Complete Edition at no extra cost!
