Shia LaBeouf has been working on a lot of movies lately, finishing his third one this year. So, it was unusual to see him simply running out for coffee in Los Angeles.
Shia LaBeouf was seen out walking while talking on his phone and carrying a large coffee. He wasn’t wearing his usual outfit of sweatpants and a 49ers shirt.
The actor recently resolved his legal issues with FKA Twigs in July. He was seen with a shaved head and freshly groomed face, which made sense since he had just finished filming his latest movie, God of the Rodeo, at the end of the summer, where he played a convict.
This crime thriller takes place inside Angola Prison, where Shia LaBeouf, 39, stars as a prisoner competing in the prison’s inaugural rodeo in 1967.
LaBeouf has a penchant for playing gritty characters.
This year, he appeared in two films playing convicts. First, in the May 2nd release, Salvable, and then, on May 8th, in Henry Johnson, a David Mamet-directed prison drama where he portrayed a brilliant and dangerous prisoner.

LaBeouf is widely known as a method actor who will totally transform his look for a role.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always amazed by actors who fully commit to their roles, and Shia LaBeouf’s dedication to ‘Fury’ was truly next-level! He went all-in for authenticity, shaving his head, actually cutting himself to create battle scars, refusing to shower for days, and even getting a tooth pulled – all to make his portrayal of a WWII soldier feel real. It’s a pretty extreme example of method acting, but it definitely shows his commitment to the craft.
LaBeouf is also known for his many Hollywood feuds.
According to the documentary Megadoc, which detailed the creation of the film Megalopolis, he and his mentor, Jon Voight, didn’t communicate for years following a major falling out.
The pair worked together on the 2003 comedy Holes and on the 2007 blockbuster Transformers.
Shia LaBeouf says Dustin Hoffman inspired his passion for acting, but their friendship ended badly. They had a falling out over the phone, and things quickly escalated when LaBeouf threatened to physically confront Hoffman at his home.
Shia LaBeouf and Jon Voight reconciled their differences before working together on Francis Ford Coppola’s film, Megalopolis, with LaBeouf acknowledging he needed to apologize to Voight.
LaBeouf explained: ‘The first version [of the script] I read was about five years ago.

Coppola held a script read-through, and between that and filming, I really messed things up in my personal life. I was working through a recovery program and needed to apologize to Jon Voight, even though we have very different political views. I care about him a lot, though…
He was a mentor to me early in my life. He was the first professional actor I ever encountered, and he introduced me to the work of Dustin Hoffman.
Watching movies with him, one after another, really sparked my passion for filmmaking. Before that, I was just focused on earning money, but seeing his dedication made me appreciate the art of it all.
Shia LaBeouf described a major falling out with someone, explaining they had a heated phone argument where he threatened a physical fight. He said he ended the call and didn’t speak to the person for years.
This documentary follows the creation of Francis Ford Coppola’s 2024 science fiction film, Megalopolis. In it, Shia LaBeouf shares that he worried he’d be removed from the project even before filming started, following a highly publicized personal struggle and a legal issue.
Despite wanting to work with LaBeouf, Coppola and the actor had disagreements while filming. LaBeouf shared that Coppola had angrily called him names, but later sent an email apologizing for his outburst.
Shia LaBeouf caused some upset among Timothée Chalamet’s fans after making what seemed like a critical comment about the Call Me by Your Name actor in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Shia LaBeouf was talking about being fired from the 2013 Broadway play Orphans. There were reports of conflict between him and his co-star, Alec Baldwin, during that production.

Looking back on how intensely he used to prepare for roles, he explained that he and Alec wouldn’t be facing these issues today. He added that he had been very isolated at the time.
I then heard Timothée Chalamet say he wanted to be great, which I totally understood. It seemed endearing coming from him, but when I felt that way, it wasn’t so charming. Does that make sense?
After winning the SAG Award for Best Actor for his role in A Complete Unknown in February, Timothée Chalamet shared his ambition to become a celebrated and enduring actor.
Chalamet explained that this award was particularly meaningful to him, acknowledging that while the film industry is based on opinion, he’s truly striving for excellence in his work.
Fans quickly took to social media to slam the LaBeouf – who refuted those claims on social media.
Fans also reminded people about accusations made by his former girlfriend, FKA Twigs, in a 2020 lawsuit. LeBeouf disputed all the claims, and the case was ultimately settled in July.
