Sources say Shia LaBeouf was going through a difficult time personally and professionally before his arrest in New Orleans.

Police were called to the home of the 39-year-old Transformers actor multiple times recently. Meanwhile, people working with him on his recently finished movie, The Rooster Prince, became concerned about his unusual behavior during filming.

According to TMZ, police visited Shia LaBeouf’s home in Los Angeles several times before his separation from Mia Goth, 32, which occurred five months ago.

In November 2024, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute, according to the source.

According to reports, a woman repeatedly told someone to ‘just go’ during a phone call as she attempted to convince her husband to leave. A man could also be heard swearing in the background.

The Daily Mail has reached out to LaBeouf’s and Goth’s representatives for comment.

A representative from the City of Pasadena confirmed to TMZ that police were called to the home, but no official police report was made.

In August 2025, police received a call about a possible stalking situation. The caller told them an acquaintance was experiencing mental health issues and believed she was married to Shia LaBeouf.

The person who called reported that the woman was extremely angry with him, seemed to be following him, and was threatening to go to his house.

The person who called also mentioned someone was excessively focused on the actor online, but it’s unknown if the actor was aware of this call or the potential stalking situation.

Police documents obtained by TMZ included LaBeouf’s address. 

According to the Daily Mail, Goth left her husband after five months of a difficult marriage. They share a three-year-old daughter named Isabel.

Despite the actor’s legal issues, filming for the new project is still on track, according to an insider.

Shia LaBeouf was arrested Tuesday morning after a fight during Mardi Gras celebrations. Video footage shows him hitting a man with his head during the altercation.

He was arrested and charged with two counts of battery. After receiving medical attention from paramedics, he spent the night in jail in Orleans Parish, Louisiana.

Following his release from jail on Tuesday, LaBeouf went back to the Mardi Gras parade to continue celebrating.

Several people tried to restrain him, but they eventually stopped, hoping he would go away. He’s accused of then hitting the first victim in the upper body with punches and punching another person in the nose.

The actor was again held down by at least two men until officers arrived, the police report said.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, the celebrity was hospitalized for undisclosed injuries before being taken into custody, as reported by the Daily Mail.

FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Shia LaBeouf, alleging abuse during their relationship from 2018 to 2019. She accused him of sexual battery, assault, and causing her emotional distress.

Two years after FKA Twigs (Barnett) first sued him, Shia LaBeouf publicly admitted to harming her during an appearance on the REAL ONES podcast, though he didn’t mention her by name.
