As a gamer who has spent countless hours immersed in the captivating world of Sherlock Holmes, the news of a new script for Sherlock Holmes 3 has sent my detective senses into overdrive! The anticipation of seeing Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law reprise their iconic roles once more is almost too much to bear.

The latest news about Sherlock Holmes 3 is encouraging, as Jude Law hinted that a fresh script for the movie has been developed.

Back in 2009, I found myself immersed in the thrilling world of Sherlock Holmes when it all began with the movie that starred none other than Robert Downey Jr as the iconic detective and Jude Law as Dr Watson. The sequel, titled “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” continued the adventure in 2011.

2018 saw Warner Bros confirming their return for a third film installment, however, advancements have been sluggish due to multiple setbacks over the past few years.

On a positive note, Law has shared some exciting news about the project. He mentioned that there is a “revised version of the screenplay” and a strong determination to bring the movie to life.

Previously, producer Susan Downey shared a positive outlook regarding the project, expressing that it holds significant importance for her spouse.

Let me share some information,” she started. “Before this, we had lunch with Robert, discussing a particular topic. That discussion has been recorded and is being considered further. We plan to act on it when the timing is perfect and the right people are involved, but rest assured, it’s a high priority for both Robert and our company.

Initially slated for a Christmas Day 2020 premiere, the third film was later rescheduled to December 22, 2021, and eventually removed from the release schedule altogether. It wasn’t until 2022 that director Dexter Fletcher disclosed that the delays were due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Sherlock Holmes 3 does not currently have a release date.
