The drama Cilla, starring Sheridan Smith as the late Cilla Black, will soon be taken off Netflix. The series originally aired in 2014 and featured Smith, known for her roles in Gavin & Stacey and I Fought the Law.
This three-part drama series tells the story of Cilla Black, from her life growing up in 1960s Liverpool to the start of her music career. It also explores her relationships with Brian Epstein, The Beatles’ manager, and her husband, Bobby Willis.
The show has been updated with the ‘leaving soon’ tag on Netflix, with no given date.

The helpful website NewOnNetflixUK points out the show arrived on the streaming service last May 24th, so it will probably be removed around the same time this year, plus or minus a day.
It’s a pretty quick show, and if you don’t have time to watch it in the next couple of weeks, don’t stress about it.

The show premiered on ITV back in the day, and is still available to stream with ITVX.
Netflix recently removed another Sheridan Smith series, in addition to the police drama Black Work, which disappeared from the platform in April.

Last month, Smith debuted in his new drama, The Cage. The show, written by Tony Schumacher (who created The Responder), stars Smith as a casino employee who becomes entangled with local criminals.
In a review for Digital Spy, the actor’s performance was highly praised. The review highlighted her ability to portray her character’s internal struggles with raw emotion, even before the audience fully understands them. This was evident in subtle details like her expressions, quiet tears, and body language, as well as in more dramatic moments, such as a powerful scream while facing a difficult decision. The review also noted her character’s impressive resilience and ability to quickly regain composure to handle challenging situations.
The actor is preparing for their next role in a new police drama, Two Birds, by participating in a rigorous training program.
Cilla is available on ITVX and, for a limited time, Netflix.
