Born in 1954, this stunning brunette has enjoyed a successful Hollywood career spanning five decades.
This talented actor starred alongside John Travolta in a hugely popular film in the 1970s that had a big impact and started many new trends.
The actress, a graduate of Sheepshead Bay High School, began her career appearing in daytime dramas such as All My Children and One Life to Live.
She later acted alongside Shia LaBeouf in the hit TV show Even Stevens and also appeared in an episode of The Sopranos with James Gandolfini.
The 71-year-old actress was spotted in Los Angeles this week, making a rare public appearance. She dressed casually in a denim jacket and jeans while on her way to lunch at Granville.
Can you guess who she is?
She is Donna Pescow.
The actress is most famous for playing Annette in the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever, where she shared many scenes with John Travolta.
Pescow had to ‘relearn’ her Brooklyn accent for the part.
Despite John Travolta’s standout performance in the movie, her role remains iconic and will always be remembered in film history.
The movie brought disco back to life and its soundtrack, filled with songs by the Bee Gees, became a huge success.
With over 40 million copies sold around the world, the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is one of the biggest-selling albums of all time.
In 2023, Shelley Duvall and John Travolta appeared together in a Capital One Christmas commercial. Duvall played a cashier, and Travolta played Santa Claus.
In 1977, Pescow began playing the role of Celena Arquette on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live.
In 1978, Pescow appeared in the TV movie Rainbow, portraying one of Judy Garland’s sisters.
Donna Pescow was the star of her own TV show, ‘Angie,’ which aired on ABC for two seasons, from 1979 to 1980. The show also featured Robert Hays, Debralee Scott, and Doris Roberts.
A role on The Love Boat also happened as she worked with Gavin MacLeod.
In 1982, Pescow joined the cast of the soap opera All My Children, playing Dr. Lynn Carson – a groundbreaking character as the first lesbian on daytime television. She continued in the role until 1983.
Oh my gosh, in the ’80s she was everywhere! I mean, she guest-starred on all the biggest shows – Policewoman, Trapper John, M.D., Hotel, even Fantasy Island! It was amazing, I tried to catch her on everything. Seriously, she totally ruled the decade!
In 1987, she starred as Donna Garland in the comedy series Out of This World, which was made for first-run syndication. The show ran until 1991.
She then appeared in several television series, including guest roles on “Clueless,” “NYPD Blue,” “Pauly,” and “Ivory Tower.” She also starred in the 1998 TV movie “Dead Husbands.”
From 1999 to 2001, she played the villainous Gertrude Morgan on General Hospital. She also made appearances on the television series Partners and Philly.
Then she entered teen TV territory with Even Stevens with Shia LeBeouf.
I was completely hooked on the show when it was on Disney Channel – it ran from 2000 to 2003, and I watched every episode! I was thrilled when they followed it up with The Even Stevens Movie – it was a great way to continue the story.
In 2006, Pescow had a role in Crossing Jordan. The following year, in 2007, she appeared in the final episode of The Sopranos as Donna Parisi, the wife of gangster Patsy Parisi.
Her last role was in the TV series Welcome To Chippendales in 2023.
