She is one of the best known soap opera stars on American television.
Originating from Atlanta, Georgia, this individual has spent extended periods on two well-known daytime soap operas.
Yet, she’s admitted that even after more than three decades, it’s her part on Seinfeld for which she continues to be identified.
The talented star recently emerged at the 13,000th episode celebration of iconic soap The Young And The Restless.
Can you guess who the actress is?
It is Susan Walters!
In 1993 and 1996, the 61-year-old actress appeared on Seinfeld in two episodes, portraying ‘Mulva’. Even today, she’s often remembered for this iconic role.
At the 13,000th episode celebration of The Young And The Restless held in Los Angeles on a Thursday, she shared, “It’s amazing how many people still recall me from that time.
When they understand the link, it significantly increases their fondness for me, right? That’s quite amusing, isn’t it?
Susan further explained that not only did the role boost her recognition among fans, but it also opened up opportunities for her within the entertainment industry.
She continued: ‘I’ve gotten it years after it had aired. The first time I got a pilot that wasn’t even comedic because the director loved that episode so much, he’s like, “Well, let’s hire Mulva!”
By the way, let’s revisit The Young and the Restless, and you think it’s famous. Indeed, that moment was truly iconic.
Due to her extended stint on The Young And The Restless spanning over several years, she took a moment to ponder upon the successes of her career.
Susan mentioned that she feels incredibly fortunate for having been involved with some truly memorable events within the entertainment world.
In 1993’s “The Junior Mint” episode of Seinfeld, the skilled actress played the role of the woman whom Jerry was secretly seeing, a character that garnered considerable attention.
A comical aspect of her storyline arises when the main character, Jerry, fails to ask for her name, as she hints that it sounds like a term related to a woman’s body.
At last, everything culminates as she discovers that Jerry has never known her actual name. When pressed for the truth, he attempts to guess her name, which he mistakenly identifies as Mulva.
In a whirlwind of emotion, I, a die-hard fan, find myself storming out of what I thought was my beloved’s apartment, only to discover in the cold light of reality that his companion was none other than Dolores – a revelation that leaves me utterly bewildered and heartbroken.
In 1996, she came back to the well-known sitcom where she met up with Jerry once more, only to find out rather swiftly that he hadn’t grown much since their last encounter.
Despite being famously associated with her character on Seinfeld, it’s her portrayal of Diane Jenkins on The Young and The Restless that truly solidified her reputation. She played this role from 2001 to 2004.
In the grand scheme of things, I graced our screens once more in March 2022, unveiling an intriguing twist about my character, Diane – she had orchestrated her own demise, a revelation that certainly shook the narrative!
Initially, the gifted actress made her debut in daytime television, portraying Lorna Forbes for three consecutive seasons on the soap opera “Loving” from 1983 to 1986.
