She Got Robbed!

Supporters of Zendaya are expressing strong opinions following her omission from Oscar contention for her performance in Challengers. One fan, in particular, argued that the actress was unfairly denied a nomination, implying she was “cheated” or “robbed.

In the sports drama, the 28-year-old actress portrayed tennis sensation Tashi Duncan and was recognized with a Golden Globe nomination for her performance. However, when the Oscar nominees were revealed on Thursday, her name was conspicuously missing.

Moreover, it wasn’t just Zendaya being overlooked; unfortunately, the entire “Challengers” movie didn’t secure any nominations for the Oscars.

A number of viewers have criticized the Academy for overlooking the Luca Guadagnino-directed movie, specifically pointing out that they did not acknowledge Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their work on the film’s score.

One person wrote, ‘Zendaya was severely robbed when it comes to the challenge roles; as a result, it’s unlikely that she’ll take on any comedic film projects in the future.’

‘One person commented that the nominations for no challenger are not making sense, as they seem to dislike the idea of a tennis trio and Zendaya looking stylish.’

After discovering that the Academy had given Dune: Part Two, a movie featuring Zendaya, five nominations while snubbing Challengers, another individual was left in shock, causing them to collapse on their knees.

‘zendaya is going to the oscar’s for dune and not challengers… fell to my knees,’ another wrote.

One fan called the snub for Zendaya and the film’s composers ‘evil.’

It’s perplexing to me that ‘Challengers’ didn’t receive any nominations, given its electrifying filmmaking and an exceptional screenplay that makes the movie stand out. It was also my favorite cinematic achievement of the year. The lack of recognition for the score is unfair, and it’s particularly disappointing that Zendaya wasn’t nominated too.

Why weren’t any challengers chosen for just one category? I’m sorry about Luca Guadagnino and Zendaya.” The original sentence seems a bit informal and unclear, so this version is more straightforward and easier to understand.

Additionally, I can’t help but wonder how challengers managed to be shut out completely with no scores at all. It’s bizarre, there was not even Zendaya! There were others as well, but honestly, what on earth?! Nothing at all. It’s unbelievable. Somehow, Wicked still made it into the best score, which is just…absurd. Trent and Atticus truly deserve a better evaluation; their performance was exceptional.

It’s hard to comprehend why Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were not nominated for the Best Original Score, especially since ‘Challengers’ was also overlooked in any category.

The movie might not be nominated for an Oscar, but it’s already bagged several accolades, among them a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, shared by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Zendaya was additionally recognized with a Golden Globe nomination for the category of Best Actress in a Musical or Comedic Film, but ultimately did not win the award.

At the upcoming Critics’ Choice Awards, Challengers stands a good chance of receiving additional accolades. It has been nominated in several categories, such as Best Score and Best Song.

Initially, it was planned to announce the Oscar nominations on January 17th, but the LA fires caused a delay in voting, which was eventually extended for a week.

The planned awards event is set to occur on March 2 at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, marking Conan O’Brien’s debut as the host.

Here are the actors nominated for best actor: Adrien Brody for “The Brutalist”, Timothée Chalamet for “A Complete Unknown”, Colman Domingo for “Sing Sing”, Ralph Fiennes for “Conclave”, and Sebastian Stan for “The Apprentice.

Among the remarkable actresses contending for the Best Actress award are myself for my role in ‘The Substance’, Cynthia Erivo for her work in ‘Wicked’, Mikey Madison for her performance in ‘Anora’, Karla Sofía Gascón for her portrayal of ‘Emilia Pérez’, and Fernanda Torres for her role in ‘I’m Still Here’. It’s an honor to be included alongside such talented individuals.

Here are the nominees for the original song category:

1. “El Mal” by Emilia Perez
2. “The Journey” by The Six Triple Eight
3. “Like a Bird” by Sing Sing
4. “Mi Camino” by Emilia Pérez
5. “Never Too Late” by Elton John: Never Too Late.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share the nominees for the best animated film this year. Among them are ‘Flow’, which promises an engaging narrative; ‘Inside Out 2’, the sequel that continues the emotional journey we started with Riley; ‘Memoir of a Snail’, offering a unique perspective on life from our smallest friends; ‘Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’, where I can’t wait to see the ingenious duo in action once more; and lastly, ‘The Wild Robot’, a tale that combines technology and nature in an intriguing way.

Here are the contenders for the Best Supporting Actor award: Yura Borisov from ‘Anora’, Kieran Culkin in ‘A Real Pain’, Edward Norton in ‘A Complete Unknown’, Guy Pearce featured in ‘The Brutalist’, and Jeremy Strong from ‘The Apprentice’.

Here are the candidates up for Best Supporting Actress: Monica Barbaro from ‘A Complete Unknown’, Felicity Jones in ‘The Brutalist’, Ariana Grande in ‘Wicked’, Isabella Rossellini for ‘Conclave’, and Zoe Saldaña as ‘Emilia Pérez’.

Here are the nominees for the Original Screenplay category: ‘Anora’, ‘The Brutalist’, ‘A Real Sore’, ‘September 5th’, and ‘The Essence’.
