Shawn Mendes and his new girlfriend, Bruna Marquezine, were seen looking affectionate while hiking in Los Angeles, walking hand-in-hand.

The 27-year-old singer and his 30-year-old girlfriend were seen walking and talking while holding hands, after being photographed showing affection for each other last week.

Shawn wore an unbuttoned brown shirt, revealing his chest, along with grey trousers and a burgundy baseball cap.

The singer of ‘Stitches’ chose to go barefoot on his casual date, carrying his brown sneakers instead.

Bruna, the actress, looked fit and toned in a black sports bra and leggings, completing her look with a hoodie tied around her waist.

During an outing, the Blue Beetle actress cleverly stashed sunglasses inside her sports bra and wore it over her shoulders, likely to prevent visible tan lines.

The couple looked happier than ever as they walked around a park holding hands and chatting away.   

It comes weeks after Shawn and model Bruna were photographed making out off the coast of Algagoas.

They were kissing deeply in the clear blue ocean, their dark, wet hair plastered to their heads.

TMZ reported that just weeks ago the new couple was seen jetsetting through an airport in Brazil.

It comes after Shawn addressed speculation about his sexuality during an October 2024 concert.

At the Colorado concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, he opened up about the ‘truth’ of his love life.

The singer, known for his past relationship with Camila Cabello, told his fans he was trying to be courageous while admitting he was still working through things.

He acknowledged the ongoing discussion about his sexuality, but said it felt a bit ridiculous. He believes sexuality is complicated and can’t be easily categorized.

He shared that he’s still discovering who he is and what his sexuality means to him, just like everyone else.

For me, what Shawn said really resonated. It always felt like people were stepping into something incredibly private, something I was still working through on my own. It was a personal journey of self-discovery, and honestly, it still is. I’m still figuring things out, and it feels intrusive when others try to define it for me.

He went on to explain that it’s frightening, because society often has strong opinions about things like this.

I’m working on being more open to my feelings and accepting myself as a human being. I don’t want to say much more about it right now.

The singer of ‘In My Blood’ also explained that he started his career very young, at just 15 years old. Because of this, he missed out on many typical teenage experiences and didn’t have the chance to explore who he was during those formative years.

Shawn shared these thoughts before singing his song, “The Mountain.” The song contains the lines, ‘You can say I’m too young / You can say I’m too old / You can say I like girls or boys / whatever fits your mold.’

He also discussed how he wrote the song, explaining that it was a deeply personal experience and a chance to express something meaningful to him.

I’m just being honest and open about wanting to connect with people and live authentically.

He previously discussed speculation about his sexuality in a 2018 Rolling Stone interview.

He later said he’d thought to himself, “You’re so fortunate I’m not gay and afraid to admit it.”

This is a life-or-death matter – it’s incredibly delicate. But beyond that, do you enjoy the music? Do you like me? And honestly, what difference does it make if I’m gay?

Before dating the singer of ‘Señorita’, Bruna had a complicated relationship with Brazilian soccer player Neymar, who is 33 years old.
