Sharon Stone ‘over the moon’ as her eldest son Roan announces his engagement to Ukrainian beauty

Sharon Stone is thrilled to share that her oldest son, Roan, is engaged to his fiancée, Anya Yevtushenko, who is from Ukraine.

Last week, the 25-year-old actor and filmmaker proposed to his 22-year-old girlfriend during a festive Christmas vacation.

Roan shared with the Daily Mail that she is the kindest and most beautiful woman he’s ever known, and he feels incredibly fortunate to be with her.

Roan shared that his 67-year-old mother, who was nominated for an Oscar, is pleased about his upcoming wedding and gets along well with his fiancée.

A close friend shared that Sharon is thrilled. Family means everything to her, and she simply wants her children to be happy.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Roan – the Roan from Sugar Beach, seriously my favorite movie ever – just posted the most amazing thing on Instagram! He shared a picture of the engagement ring he got for his fiancée! It’s a solitaire, so classic and beautiful, and I’m just… dying! I knew they were perfect together, especially after seeing how amazing he was at portraying complex relationships in Sugar Beach. I’m so happy for them both!

The image showed the couple’s hands intertwined on a bed scattered with rose petals and chocolates.

Sharon Stone adopted Roan in 2000 while she was married to journalist Phil Bronstein. The couple, who divorced in 2004 after six years of marriage, jointly adopted him.

Sharon has often spoken about choosing to prioritize her three adopted sons – Roan, Laird, who is 20, and Quinn, 19 – over her work as she’s gotten older.

In 2023, she shared that she was happy she’d chosen to be a mother instead of focusing on her Hollywood career, as Hollywood hadn’t supported her in return.

Anya moved to Canada from Ukraine in 2020 and now works in marketing for a company focused on environmental services. She’s made a great impression on Roan, and everyone who cares about him loves her as well.

As Roan’s career in entertainment has grown – with the launch of his media company, Sweat N Shadow Management, and his leadership as CEO of Cahuenga Media Group – his relationship has flourished.

Roan told Hello! magazine that his mother and girlfriend are his greatest sources of support, explaining, “They really believe in me.”

After Sharon and Roan’s adoptive father separated in 2004, a court decided that Roan would mainly live with Phil in San Francisco while school was in session.

She has been candid about the devastating impact that the custody arrangement had on her.

In a 2023 interview on the Table for Two podcast, she shared that she had to go to the Mayo Clinic because of an irregular heartbeat – she described experiencing extra beats in both the upper and lower chambers of her heart, and said the experience was deeply upsetting.

Even though things were tough, Sharon and Roan remained close as he grew up. In 2019, Roan, formerly known as Roan Bronstein, legally changed his last name to Bronstein Stone, wanting to recognize both of his parents.

I’ve been so incredibly proud watching my son, Roan, build his career in entertainment. He’s always said how much my support meant to him, especially when he was starting out. He tells everyone I helped him with all his self-tapes and shared everything she knew about the industry with him – it warms my heart to hear him say that!

While I’ll always be Sharon Stone’s son, I’ve built a career for myself where people recognize me for my own work, not just my family connection.

‘But I’m very proud of my family and my family’s legacy and the name I carry.’

Sharon has been very open about the challenges she faced trying to become a mother. After experiencing several miscarriages caused by an autoimmune condition and endometriosis, she decided to pursue adoption.

After Roan, she adopted Laird in 2005 and Quinn in 2006, whom she raised as a single mother.

In 2022, Sharon explained that women often lack a supportive space to openly discuss the deep pain of miscarriage. Having personally lost nine children to miscarriage, she emphasized that it’s a significant physical and emotional experience, yet society often expects women to grieve in silence and feel responsible.

Sharon has been married twice: once to television producer Michael Greenburg (from 1984 to 1990), and later to Phil. She’s openly talked about wanting to find love once more.

Last year, she told The Times she was determined to find love, saying she hadn’t been in love for years and would be thrilled to be in a relationship.

The famous actress talked about trying dating apps, and it didn’t always go well. She explained, very directly, that she wasn’t looking for casual encounters online. ‘There’s no need for Tinder if you just want a connection,’ she said. ‘Meeting someone at a coffee shop is much simpler.’
