Sharon Osbourne announced she plans to join a protest against immigration that’s being organized by far-right figure Tommy Robinson.
The ‘Unite The Kingdom‘ march on May 16th is similar to a rally held last September at Trafalgar Square, which attracted more than 100,000 people.
Robinson has been using social media to encourage people to join a march. He recently posted a video on the GauciReports Instagram account, urging his followers to consider May 16th as a day for ‘Britain to rise and reunite’.
He stated that this date marks a turning point, a moment when people will publicly express their frustration with immigration and what they see as a repressive government.
He stated his intention to completely disrupt London, explaining that attempts to ignore their concerns have been ongoing for decades, but they will no longer remain quiet.
Osbourne commented on the post: ‘See you at the march.’
The Gauicireports account replied ‘yes Sharon’ and later in a new post wrote:
Sharon Osbourne has confirmed she’ll be joining a march. The television personality responded to a post on Instagram, saying she’s decided to take a stand after witnessing changes in Britain, particularly in her hometown of Birmingham.
A representative for Osbourne has been contacted by Daily Mail for comment.
In September, demonstrators gathered on Stamford Street, close to Waterloo Bridge, for the ‘Unite The Kingdom’ march, and then walked to the Whitehall area.
Around 5,000 people gathered for a counter-protest organized by Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) at the opposite end of Whitehall.
Later in the day, Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a surprise video appearance, where he criticized the British government, claiming the country was quickly declining. He urged protestors to resist, stating they must ‘fight back or die’.
The rally started calmly, with people expressing their frustrations about free speech and the issues surrounding small boats crossing the English Channel. However, it turned violent when protesters and those opposing them clashed on Whitehall.
As a concerned citizen, I was horrified to see the violence unleashed by anti-migrant protesters recently. The Met Police rightly condemned their actions, and it’s deeply upsetting to learn that at least 25 people were arrested and, even worse, 26 police officers were injured – four of them seriously. It’s completely unacceptable, and I’m thankful the police are taking a firm stance.
Sharon Osbourne has recently become more vocal about her political opinions. In February, the Conservative Party asked her to run as their candidate in the local elections in Birmingham, challenging a convicted terrorist.
Osbourne announced she’s planning to move to Birmingham and compete for a council seat in the Sparkhill ward. Her goal is to prevent Shahid Butt from being elected.
In 1999, Mr. Butt and five other British citizens were convicted of planning attacks on the British consulate, a church, and a hotel in Yemen, though they maintained their innocence.
He was later handed a five-year sentence on terrorism charges.
The Mail on Sunday reported that Mr. Butt had previously described jihad as a ‘compassionate act,’ even though he now says he’s abandoned extremist views. The newspaper also highlighted an interview where he advised Muslims against befriending Jews and Christians.
After watching a social media video featuring Mr Butt, Osbourne commented on her Instagram:
This isn’t about race at all. I’m actually considering moving to Birmingham and running for city council – I’m serious about it.
The original post was later removed from Instagram.
Although Sharon Osbourne doesn’t currently live in the Midlands, she has a close connection to the region because her late husband was born in Aston, a nearby town.
Following her husband’s passing in July 2025, Sharon has been living between their house in Buckinghamshire and an apartment in Los Angeles. Sources close to her recently shared that she will always see England as her true home.
Sharon’s son, Jack, lives in Los Angeles with his family. However, her daughter Kelly has stayed in the UK since her father, Ozzy, passed away and she ended her engagement with Sid Wilson.
Sharon is selling the Los Angeles home she shared with her late husband, and it’s listed for $17 million.
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne bought their 1920s home in 2015 for $11.85 million. They initially tried to sell it in 2022 for $18 million, but later lowered the price to $17.5 million.
The couple was initially thinking about moving to the UK permanently, but they later decided to take their US home off the market, according to Carolwood Estates.
Sharon has decided to sell her large home in the upscale Hancock Park neighborhood, located five miles from downtown Los Angeles.
Sharon is planning to downsize from her large Los Angeles home and purchase a smaller apartment in the area. She wants to be closer to her grandchildren when she visits them.
She’s dividing her time between California and the UK, traveling frequently between the two. While she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, she considers England her true home.
