Sharon Horgan’s captivating true-crime series, titled “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox“, is now set for its premiere on both Hulu and Disney+.

Beginning this Wednesday, 20th August, the captivating eight-part miniseries, based on real events surrounding Amanda Knox, will debut its initial installments. Subsequent episodes will air every week thereafter.

In a new take on events, the captivating narrative titled “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox” features Grace Van Patten from “Nine Perfect Strangers” portraying Amanda Knox, an exchange student who was erroneously incarcerated for the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher.

In this new role, the talented actress and co-creator of “Bad Sisters,” Sharon Horgan, will portray Edda Mellas, the mother of the character played by Knox. Meanwhile, Knox herself assumes an executive production role in the series, and Monica Lewinsky is also involved as a producer.

According to the announcement, the story titled “The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox” promises a thrilling narrative interwoven with deep emotions as it chronicles Amanda Knox’s 15-year battle to prove her innocence.

The limited series produced by Hulu aims to provide insightful perspectives on how the public perceives things and the quickness with which they make judgments.

The television series draws its inspiration from the true account of Amanda Knox’s unjust imprisonment following the gruesome murder of her roommate, and her 15-year journey to clear her name.

Each installment meticulously explores crucial events – the probe, expert analyses, and ongoing debates in media headlines – to finally disclose the story of a wrongfully accused student regaining control over her existence.

Concurrently, Horgan collaborates with Jennifer Aniston on a television version of the popular memoir, “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” written by Jennette McCurdy.

Horgan is working on transforming the book, and Aniston has been cast as the self-centered mother nurturing a child actor.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox premieres on Hulu and Disney + on Wednesday, 20 August.
