Reports suggest that Gino D’Acampo has withdrawn his historic £4.2 million home in Hertfordshire from sale.
In February, the Daily Mail reported that the disgraced TV chef had to lower the price of his house to £2.1 million because he was having trouble finding a buyer.
According to The Sun, Gino has apparently withdrawn his seven-bedroom house from sale after only a month.
This beautiful Georgian home in Hoddesdon first went on the market in June of last year.
Daily Mail has contacted Gino’s representatives for comment.
This sudden change of plans happens even though Gino was preparing to relocate to Australia for work. It follows the cancellation of his upcoming TV appearances on ITV due to numerous accusations of misconduct.
Before the restaurant group went into administration, it had reportedly accumulated £7.3 million in debt.
According to a source at the Daily Mail, Gino is acutely aware of the current real estate climate, where buyers have the upper hand. The market is quite volatile, and he was likely very disappointed to have to lower the price of his property.
He hasn’t managed to sell it for his asking price, even though Hoddesdon is a desirable and fashionable place to live.
Gino and Jessica had put a lot of work and money into renovating their family home, where they live with their children: Luciano, 23, Rocco, 20, and Mia, 13.
This beautiful Georgian house in Hoddesdon offers the charm and elegance of a London property. Listed as a Grade II building, it boasts over 4,700 square feet of spacious living accommodation, similar to what you’d find in central London.
The current owners have beautifully restored this house, bringing both style and creativity to create a truly impressive home. It retains many original features you’d expect from a house of this age, such as fireplaces in eight rooms, high ceilings with decorative roses, and detailed cornices. Large windows with shutters fill the rooms with plenty of natural light.
The home boasts six bathrooms, a large kitchen and breakfast nook, and a living room with a grand piano positioned beside a beautiful Georgian fireplace.
Gino has previously pictured himself playing guitar in the room in front of the roaring fire.
An ITV investigation revealed numerous reports of negative experiences with Gino over a period of more than 12 years, with some describing the treatment as unacceptable, distressing, and horrible.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this story closely, and it’s deeply concerning. Allegations have surfaced suggesting ITV didn’t address complaints about a star’s behavior towards his colleagues. Specifically, reports claim they overlooked concerns about ‘inappropriate’ comments – including those described as ‘vile’ and ‘sexist’ – made towards Holly Willoughby back in 2018. It’s a serious situation that highlights the importance of workplaces taking all complaints seriously and fostering a respectful environment.
He told ITV News he ‘firmly denied’ all the allegations, which he called ‘deeply upsetting.
