Shakira’s Heartfelt Thanks to Fans After Hospitalization: ‘You Give Me Strength!’

Shakira has thanked fans for their outpouring of support after she revealed her hospitalization.

On Sunday evening, she expressed her gratitude on X by writing, ‘I appreciate all the affectionate messages you’ve sent me.’ She continued, ‘Your support fills me with incredible strength! I hold you deeply in my heart.’

48-year-old singer of “The Hips Don’t Lie,” visited the emergency room on Saturday evening due to abdominal problems, as she revealed earlier in the day.

Shakira herself announced that her performance in Lima, Peru on that specific date had been cancelled due to medical reasons, as her doctors concluded she wasn’t fit enough to perform.

In a message on Instagram Stories, she shared that unfortunately, she had to visit the emergency room due to an abdominal problem last night and is now being treated at the hospital.

The medical professionals attending to me at present have informed me that my current state isn’t strong enough for the performance tonight.

I’m deeply disappointed that I can’t perform on stage today, as I was eagerly anticipating reconnecting with my fantastic fans right here in Peru.

‘I hope to be released and well tomorrow so I’m able to perform,’ she continued in the statement. 

‘My team and the promoters are already working on a new date to communicate to you.’

‘Thank you all for your understanding. I love you all,’ she wrote, signing off with ‘Shak.’

The final date in the star’s world tour is set for late this year on June 30 in San Francisco.

There, the empowering album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” by an outstanding performer, took home the award for Best Latin Pop Album. What a fantastic celebration of music and female strength!

She was joined by her two sons, Milan (age 12) and Sasha (age 10), whom she co-parents with her ex, Gerard Pique. They parted ways in June 2022.

Upon taking to the stage to accept the award, the star shared a political message in her speech.

I’d like to consecrate this accolade to all my fellow immigrants in this nation. You are cherished. Your value is undeniable. I’ll always stand by your side in the struggle.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to draw attention to the resilient and hardworking women out there who tirelessly support their families each day. The beauty also gave a sweet shout out to her sons and gushed, ‘They are here with me.’

I’m incredibly proud of all of you, with your big-hearted actions. I can’t thank you enough for the unwavering support you provide me. I adore each and every one of you. Once again, thank you.”

Last year in March, during an interview with AP News, the artist famous for “Hips Don’t Lie” shared insights about her upcoming 12th studio album.

Shakira described it as an album that collects various life experiences, showcasing the transition from vulnerability to resilience, and the empowerment found in discovering one’s own strength.

As an advocate for wellness and personal growth, I want to emphasize that it’s not just about overcoming hardships – it’s equally important to celebrate victories. The journey of life is filled with both challenges and triumphs, and acknowledging both aspects is crucial in our pursuit of a fulfilling lifestyle.

Instead, these aren’t mere tears of resentment, anger, or sorrow, but rather, they are tears of triumph and self-realization, carrying an undercurrent of newfound confidence.

This star mentioned that the album offers an impressive mix of styles. You’ll find pop, Afrobeat, reggaeton, and even some regional Mexican music. Plus, there’s a hint of rock. Yet, all these diverse genres share a unifying theme.
