Shakira hits the recording studio with her ‘fave’ producer AC… after dining with mystery man in Miami Beach
As a longtime fan of Shakira, I must say that following her journey over the years has been nothing short of inspiring. From her humble beginnings in Colombia to becoming a global superstar with an impressive discography spanning over two decades, she’s proven time and again that she’s more than just a pretty face and a powerful voice.
On a Wednesday, Shakira went back to the recording studio, this time joined by one of her favorite industry colleagues, only five months following the release of her first album in seven years.
A well-known pop singer, age 47 and followed by approximately 299 million people on social media, posted two images showing her collaborating with music producer AC (also known as Alexander Castillo).
In 2017, it is said that Shakira (real name Ripoli) encountered Castillo. This was also the year Castillo received a nomination for Latin Grammy Awards in the category ‘Record of the Year’, for his production work on Ricky Martin’s song “Vente Pa’ Ca”.
Previously, the three-time Grammy laureate found himself in a London recording studio alongside Alex, Dave Clauss, and Marc Vincent, also known as Ruffsound.
In the year 2021, Castillo experienced a truly remarkable week collaborating with Shakira and Vincent at a recording studio located in Barcelona. However, it remains uncertain if any tangible songs were produced from their efforts.
On Tuesday evening, photos emerged showing the renowned Colombian contralto singer enjoying dinner with an unidentified individual at Lido Bayside, a waterfront seafood eatery situated within The Standard Spa in Miami Beach.
Two months after Shakira declared to Rolling Stone that she regained her confidence and was open to casual relationships following her 2022 breakup with her partner of 12 years, retired soccer player Gerard Piqué, she now expresses: “I’m not against making new friends!”
The singer expressed in an interview that she has a fondness for men, which is challenging given her past experiences. Yet, despite these difficulties, she finds herself continuing to appreciate men.

Discussing Puntería, Shakira and Cardi B have been nominated for the Moonperson award in the category of Best Latin Song at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, a fan-voted event that will be aired on September 10th from UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
In this scenario, both the partner of Ipanema and the 31-year-old Grammy laureate are up against stiff competition from artists like Anitta, Bad Bunny, Karol G, Myke Towers, Rauw Alejandro, Peso Pluma, and a duo comprising Anitta and Peso Pluma.

Pop sensation Shakira, boasting a staggering 67.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, commences her global tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, with performances scheduled for November 2nd and 3rd at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California.
In March, the singer from Entre Paréntesis saw her 12th studio album, titled “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (Women No Longer Cry), reach the 13th spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
