Shaken Bill Hader issues warning to LA residents as he returns to Pacific Palisades
Bill Hader lived among numerous other residents in Pacific Palisades who experienced their homes being impacted by the significant Los Angeles fires. Fortunately, his residence remained unscathed.
In 2019, the 46-year-old actor purchased a house for $4.2 million, and while many surrounding homes were destroyed, his remained standing.
I’m utterly astonished, yet relieved that my family is safe. You see, this place where we live is truly remarkable, and I find myself almost speechless, as I express my feelings to KTLA.
He also mentioned that the event transpired incredibly swiftly, leaving one astonished by its speed. Frankly, it’s hard to comprehend how quickly it unfolded, but my main concern at this moment is everyone’s safety. That’s all one can wish for right now.
The Palisades wildfire remains active, having scorched approximately 24,000 acres so far. Currently, it’s under control by firefighters to the tune of 18%.
Under a newly enacted wind advisory affecting numerous Southern California regions, Hader has cautioned fellow Los Angeles residents to prepare for possible additional evacuation notices.
If a evacuation order is issued, simply depart without delay. Some individuals may hesitate, thinking things like, “Let’s wait and see” or “I’m located in a cautious area,” according to Hader.
He stated, “‘When this object turned red, it was impossible to exit. Disregard your friends who may tell you ‘Oh, you’re just overreacting.’ Simply leave as soon as possible.’
The actor stated that he was away from home when the fire began on January 7, yet he made haste to return once he got word of it.
Hader stated that he had a video of the fire and returned quickly, but upon my return, the traffic was at a standstill due to congestion.
I’m stunned, but I’m relieved that my family managed to escape. To be honest, I can’t find the right words to describe how amazing this community is, it’s just… speechless.” (Hader)
Hader expressed that the event unfolded incredibly quickly, leaving him astonished. He further stated that given its rapid pace, he can only wish for everyone’s safety at this moment. That’s all one can hope for in such situations.
Hader stated, “Everyone’s been saying it’s surreal, and they’re right. It feels unreal. I’m just stunned. It’s all over.
Hader lamented that Alphabet Streets, a cherished part of the Palisades he considered its core, no longer exists. The entire neighborhood has vanished, according to him.
In 2019, the actor and screenwriter acquired a house; this was a year following his separation from his former wife, movie director Maggie Carey, with whom he has three daughters.
This two-storey residence boasts five bedrooms, an office space, as well as four complete baths and two partial baths.
This 4,300-square-foot house includes a spacious formal living room with wooden floors, a cozy fireplace, and massive windows that stretch from the floor to the ceiling.
