Shailene Woodley reveals that talking about ex Aaron Rodgers ‘always makes me cry’ in emotional confession

As a lifestyle expert, I empathize deeply with Shailene Woodley‘s emotional journey following her relationship with Aaron Rodgers. Her heartfelt admission about the impact their union had on her is a poignant reminder of the profound effect relationships can have on our lives.

Shailene Woodley parted ways with Aaron Rodgers more than two years back, and the impact of their relationship still lingers on her.

During an interview with Outside magazine, Woodley, aged 33, shared that she tends to steer clear of discussing their past relationship as it continues to stir up emotions within her.

She admits that she doesn’t talk much about her relationship with Aaron since it often brings tears to her eyes.

‘It was not right. But it was beautiful,’ she added.

2021 saw Woodley and Rodgers announce their engagement, a move coming swiftly following the public revelation of their romantic involvement.

They remained engaged for a year before splitting up in February 2022.

She described the time when they parted ways as challenging, without explicitly stating that the separation itself caused her sadness during that period.

She shared that something deeply distressing and painful occurred around the beginning of 2022. It was as if she had been stripped of her very essence, her identity, her contentment, and her delight, she elaborated.

Shailene said her empathy for ‘someone else’ kept her in a ‘toxic situation.’

‘Empathy,’ she added, ‘kind of kept me in this loop of feeling everything for everyone.’

She explained, “I realized I was experiencing deep sadness when looking at a tree left me feeling indifferent,” referring to it as “the absolute bottom” of her life.

But Woodley’s best friend, stylist Kris Zero, was the one who helped her get out of her depression.

Every morning, Woodley was roused from sleep by the vibrant sounds of music played by Zero, and he engaged her in a variety of activities to help distract her from her worries.

At times, Woodley admitted, he felt intense anger towards her. However, when we went surfing together, there were moments when it seemed like life could be pleasant once more, for about ten glorious minutes each time.

‘Then the depression would come back and she’d go, “We’re volunteering at the horse ranch!” And we’d find a random f**king horse ranch, and we’d clean up horse s**t. We’d clean hooves and brush the horses, and for 20 minutes that day I thought life could be OK again. And then the depression came back and she’d wake me up the next morning and go, “Let’s go on a hike and bring trash bags and clean up trash!”‘

The depression began to dissolve after six months of the activities.

In the midst of her fast-paced relationship with Rodgers, the Emmy-nominated individual expressed delight to Jimmy Fallon, sharing that she never imagined herself with someone who made a living by throwing balls.

Fans were devastated when they called off their engagement in February of 2022.

In an interview with Net-A-Porter last January, she confessed that the separation was the most challenging, darkest period of her life.

‘My personal life was sh*tty, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months,’ she said.

She mentioned that she was thankful because she could at least attend work, where she could weep and work through her feelings by portraying her character.

After their breakup, there were whispers that the towering football star, standing at six feet two, had started a new relationship with model Mallory Edens.

Shailene, on the other hand, hasn’t revealed any new romantic relationships; she’s been concentrating more on personal growth and her professional endeavors.
