Shadow Labyrinth Delivers Dark Pac-Man Action in July

Bandai Namco has revealed that the gritty sci-fi adaptation of Pac-Man, titled “Shadow Labyrinth“, is set to debut in July.

In this adventure, the tiny, pill-munching arcade character will traverse a hostile world, encountering both fresh and familiar threats as it explores, hunts, and devours any shadowy creatures that obstruct its path. Your objective is to rise to the top of the food chain on this planet, gaining strength with every enemy you conquer.

In this game, you take on the role of character number eight, the Swordsman, accompanied by Pac-Man, known here as ‘Puck’. While the original name was changed from Puck-Man due to potential vandalism concerns, in this adventure, Puck acts as your guide and protector. A fresh trailer reveals that Puck transforms into a colossal mech called GAIA, which wreaks havoc on enemies and bosses with immense destructive power.

GAIA is simply one of the shapes Puck can assume; another is Mini-Puck, which lets Swordsman Number 8 navigate rails and traverse smaller locations. On the other hand, the main character possesses their own swift and effective close-combat maneuvers.

The game titled “Shadow Labyrinth” is set to release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 18th. Pre-ordering the game will give you an added bonus of ‘Original Arcade Sound FX’. Furthermore, the Deluxe Edition comes with a digital artbook and soundtrack.
