Sex and the City’s Chris Noth appears to take sides in Sarah Jessica Parker’s war with Kim Cattrall amid AJLT drama

On Thursdays, Chris Noth, who was previously fired from “And Just Like That,” seemed to voice his support for his former co-star Sarah Jessica Parker amidst her ongoing conflict with Kim Cattrall.

Among all characters from the Sex and the City world, only this 70-year-old individual (who had multiple sexual assault accusations against him in 2021) took to Instagram to wish Kim a happy 69th birthday; he was the sole one doing so.

Born in Liverpool but now residing in New York as a Canadian, she was not just marking her birthday but also rejoicing over the August 1st announcement of the cancellation of Michael Patrick King’s poorly-received sequel series, which wrapped up its three-season run last week.

On Wednesday, Cattrall endorsed a comment from Instagram user @royal_j0j0, who stated: “Just as we all suspected, it was Sam (Kim) who truly led the entire franchise. You, in your portrayal, encapsulated everything that defines a strong, powerful, and vulnerable woman. We admire and honor you.

According to reports, the actress who won a Golden Globe was said to have been given a staggering $1 million to play her character Samantha Jones once more, set in London as a PR maven, for a brief 70-second appearance in the final episode of And Just Like That… (AJLT) Season 2. This deal was allegedly negotiated personally by the head of HBO Max, Casey Bloys.

Without a doubt, Kim’s absence was keenly felt as she was the most hilarious, alluring, yet non-judgmental among Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) friends – a fact that remained true despite her affair with the married Mr. Big (Chris Noth).

As a die-hard fan, I’d never forget that heartwarming moment from Sex and the City: The Movie in 2008. It was when Jones tenderly fed soup to the distraught author during their Mexican honeymoon, with her groom nowhere in sight. However, despite their public appearances as friends, a hidden rift emerged between Cattrall and Parker in 2018, with Cattrall accusing Parker of feigning concern over the death of her brother Chris on Instagram.

That same year, Parker confessed she had not spoken to Chris since his sexual assault allegations.

Chris Noth’s accusations left us profoundly disheartened, as we expressed in our 2021 statement.

We stand with those brave women who’ve spoken up about their hardships. We understand how challenging it can be to reveal such personal stories, and we applaud them for doing so.
