Severance season 2 trailer reveals new twist as Mark returns to office
As a gamer who’s had his fair share of mind-bending adventures and cliffhangers, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation for the return of Severance on Apple TV+. The trailer for season two has me hooked, and I’m eagerly awaiting the reunion of Mark, Irving, Helly, and the rest of the Lumon Industries crew.
The much-anticipated return of “Severance” is just around the corner on Apple TV+, with a fresh trailer offering viewers a sneak peek into season two.
In the latest preview, we pick up where Season 1 left off, as Mark (Adam Scott), Irving (John Turturro), and Helly (Britt Lower) embark on a journey beyond their ‘innie’ community.
The trailer begins by showcasing a bewildered Mark stepping back into the fragmented workplace of Lumon Industries. As the story unfolds, he is seen hurrying to reconnect with his fellow insurgent colleagues.
Contrarily, there’s a surprising turn of events as he encounters his intimidating superior, Seth Milchick (played by Tramell Tillman), along with a fresh office team instead.
“Who are you people?” Mark questions, as he looks towards a trio of workers he’s never met before.
The trailer suggests that Mark is no longer with his companions, a situation arising due to their choice to interfere with the boundary for parting ways.
However, the fate of Irving, Helly, and Dylan (Zach Cherry) remains unknown.
Is it possible that Mark might reconnect with his former colleagues, and could he unravel the mysteries surrounding his life outside of Lumon? Only time (and perhaps a future episode) will tell.
The second installment of the psychological thriller on Apple TV+ is due out in early 2025, specifically on January 17th. This release date was officially announced in a sneak peek trailer earlier.
New episodes of the 10-part season will air every Friday on the streaming service.
In addition to the principal characters, Season 2 of Severance will bring back Patricia Arquette playing Harmony Cobel, Christopher Walken portraying Burt Goodman, and Dichen Lachman reprising her role as Ms. Casey (also known as Gemma).
In the forthcoming episodes, you’ll notice some fresh faces joining our cast, such as Gwendoline Christie, who starred in “Game of Thrones” and “Wednesday”, Alia Shawkat from “Arrested Development”, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, known for his role in “The Tourist”.
In addition, actors such as Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Sarah Bock, and John Noble will be part of the ensemble for the upcoming season.
Severance season 1 is streaming now on Apple TV+.
