Though Seth Rogen has received nine Emmy nominations throughout his career, he just won his first one for playing the lead role in the comedy series, *The Studio*.
“The Studio” is a comedy that pokes fun at the world of Hollywood and is leading the nominations this year with 23. Seth Rogen stars as a studio executive who’s struggling to decide between making serious, artistic films and guaranteed blockbusters – he even jokes about making a movie based on Kool-Aid.
Evan Goldberg, co-creator of *The Studio*, shared that the show’s idea came from a conversation with an executive who confessed they initially loved movies, but now worried their job was actually about destroying them.
As a total TV and movie buff, I was thrilled to read that Judy Berman at TIME declared this show the best new one of 2025 so far. She also said it’s one of the most insightful looks at Hollywood itself that we’ve seen in a long time, and honestly, I couldn’t agree more!
He admitted in his speech on Sunday night that he hadn’t prepared anything and had never won an award before.
I think Seth Rogen is hilarious! I especially love his movies like *Knocked Up*, *Superbad*, *Pineapple Express*, and *The 40-Year-Old Virgin*. Those are seriously some of my favorites.
