For four consecutive days, StarCraft 2 dominated the Esports World Cup 2025, reaching its peak in an epic grand finale between Joona “Serral” Sotala and Kim “Classic” Doh-woo. This showdown determined the ultimate champion. The tournament featured a total of 18 players vying for a $700,000 prize fund, but there was more at stake: additional EWC Club Points were up for grabs as well.
By the close of the competition, it was Serral who reaped the majority of the rewards, ultimately winning the Esports World Cup StarCraft 2 title.

At the 2024 EWC, Serral suffered an unexpected defeat. Seeking to make amends for this loss, he couldn’t quite get his revenge against Clem Desplanches, who had eliminated the previous champion in the grand final. However, Serral proved himself superior to all competitors, even his teammate Reynor, on his way to the final.
