Sennheiser has released its new Momentum 5 Wireless headphones. While the design remains sleek and modern, the internal technology has been completely overhauled. A key improvement is the replaceable battery – a first for this high-end headphone series – which should make the headphones last much longer. Users can easily swap the battery themselves with a simple screwdriver when it begins to wear down. Sennheiser has also doubled the number of microphones to eight, promising three times better noise cancellation, especially for blocking out voices and airplane sounds.

Okay, so the new Momentum 5 Wireless headphones are priced at $399.99 – a little more than the last version, but I think it’s worth it. They’re still using those amazing 42mm drivers made in Sennheiser’s Tullamore factory, which is great! Apparently, they took some inspiration from the legendary HD 600 series, and you can really feel that rich, deep bass. Plus, they’ve got Hi-Res Audio certification and Snapdragon Sound, meaning you can stream super high-quality audio – even lossless on Android if your device supports it. There’s also an app where you can really fine-tune the sound with an eight-band equalizer and personalize it to exactly how you like to listen. I’m really excited about that level of control!

We’ve designed this headset to stay current for years to come. It currently uses Bluetooth 5.4, but the internal hardware is ready for a future upgrade to Bluetooth 6.0 through a simple software update. Those who buy it early will soon have access to immersive Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking. And with active noise cancellation turned on, you’ll get a remarkable 57 hours of listening time on a single charge – significantly more than competitors like Sony’s top-of-the-line headphones, which offer around 30 hours.

We’re committed to protecting the environment, and that goes beyond just the product itself. The new carrying case is 20% smaller, which helps reduce shipping waste, and we’ve eliminated all plastic from the packaging. You can pre-order starting June 25th, and the headphones will be available in stores worldwide on June 30th. They’ll be offered in black, white, and denim colors.
