Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Lazkani gets choked up over split from husband Jeff in emotional season eight trailer

As a dedicated follower of Selling Sunset, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of empathy and connection with these extraordinary women as I watch the emotional trailer for season eight. Having navigated my own share of relationship turbulence, I find myself drawn to Chelsea Lazkani‘s raw and authentic moments in the face of her split from Jeff. The tears she sheds are not unlike those that have fallen on my own pillow late at night, and the courage it takes to face personal struggles in the public eye is nothing short of admirable.

In a heartfelt preview for the much-awaited eighth season of her popular reality series Selling Sunset, Chelsea Lazkani is visibly moved to tears.

As a connoisseur of lifestyle trends, let me share some intriguing news: On Tuesday, Netflix unveiled a sneak peek into their upcoming drama, set within the dynamic circle of the Oppenheim Group agents. This gripping series delves into their struggles as they navigate the tumultuous waters of Los Angeles’ luxury real estate market, reeling from the impact of last year’s ‘mansion’ tax implementation.

In a friendly gathering, it’s Chrishell Stause who initiates the toast with her colleagues, proposing to “embrace progress, positive vibes, and fresh starts.”

Regardless of Stause’s wishes, it doesn’t take much time before disagreements start simmering among the females once more, with Lazkani, aged 31, and Bre Tiesi, who is Nick Cannon’s child’s mother, being particularly prone to conflict.

Initiating the suspense, my colleague Nicole Young shares intel that might significantly impact numerous families and relationships.

In a different setting, someone shares with Tiesi, aged 33, that they have apparently learned some information regarding Chelsea’s spouse.

Although clashing with Lazkani since joining the show in season six, Tiesi finds it difficult to share unpleasant news with her adversary.

Tiesi remarks about Lazkani as she readies herself for their meeting at the restaurant, ‘They advise not to blame the messenger, but she’s undoubtedly going to cause me trouble.’

Footage then pans to Lazkani getting emotional during a confessional. 

‘I don’t want to do this. I can’t do this,’ the mother-of-two tells the cameras. 

She appears to be alluding to speaking about her split from estranged husband Jeff Lazkani.

Come mid-March, I found myself at the courthouse, filing for divorce, marking the end of a seven-year union. The reasons were deeply rooted and, unfortunately, insurmountable – what we call ‘irreconcilable differences’.

In 2014, Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenheim, who were romantically involved for nearly a year, both wept in the trailer when they mourned their pet dog, Niko.

Originally, the two ex-partners, who jointly cared for Niko until his passing in February, acknowledged that their time together with their cherished dog was running short.

‘We don’t have that long with him,’ Jason said as Fitzgerald held Niko in her arms. 

Following Niko’s death at 18 years old, it seems they had a funeral that was attended by their fellow actors, who dressed in black for the occasion.

Last year, when Stause was dating Oppenheim, she affectionately embraced him, appearing to console him over the passing of his beloved pet.

The trailer wraps with Tiesi saying: ‘Relationships, friendships, everything’s gonna change. Time to shake up this office.’ 

All 11 episodes of season eight will return to Netflix on September 6. 

Apart from Emma Hernan, Amanza Smith, Brett Oppenheim, and fresh face Alanna Whittacker, the remaining actors are part of the cast as well.
