Selling Sunset star Nicole Young’s bitter feud with Emma Hernan explained – after EXPLOSIVE cheating allegation rocks Netflix show before season 8 launch
As a seasoned observer of reality TV dramas and a connoisseur of human behavior, I find myself deeply troubled by this latest turn of events involving Form Done Productions and their hit show, Selling Sunset.
In simpler terms, the reality TV personality Nicole Young from Selling Sunset caused an uproar when she spread rumors suggesting that Emma Hernan had been involved with a married man. This led some of the cast members to consider quitting the show before its eighth season had even begun airing.
In recently unveiled sequences that took everyone by surprise, Nicole, aged 38, brought forth startling assertions. These claims reportedly left Emma, age 32, feeling taken aback when she viewed them during a cast screening a week prior to the show’s debut.
Now that the new season is available on Netflix, DailyMail.com can finally explore the unsavory consequences that began to surface in episode five.
During a tantalizing dinner gathering with Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, and the alluring Alanna Gold, Nicole subtly suggested that something intriguing might have transpired between two parties – but as soon as the words left her lips, the whispers of the affair were hushed.
Upon learning that Emma was unattached, Nicole mentioned she’d picked up some troubling information about the agent from a reliable source, which she found morally distressing.
Speaking towards the group, she shared: ‘I’ve learned of this matter from someone. Wishing it weren’t so, I only want to add that it concerns Emma, which is all I care to disclose.’
‘It’s morally upsetting to all of us,’ Nicole added, as Amanza, 47, pleaded with her to stop.
However, Nicole added, “The details I have might potentially influence families, marriages, and Emma’s standing within the community.”
‘As a married woman that kind of sh*t p****s me off… If I were the wife, I’d f*****g kill someone.’
Mary, who is 44 years old, along with Amanza, continually attempted to bring an end to the discussion. Mary emphasized multiple times, “There’s no need for us to discuss such matters.”
However, Nicole quickly retorted, “My husband is not the type to ever,” which caused Amanza to respond sharply, “Please, stop talking now.”
During the heated conversation, the name ‘Jen’ and ‘Orange County’ were mentioned.
The rumor then subsided until the season eight finale, where Nicole shared her findings with Bre Tiesi so she could use it as ‘ammo’ amid her fallout with Chelsea Lazkani.
Prior to their discussion, Bre, aged 33, found herself embroiled in a heated argument with Chelsea, 31, following her revelation that Chelsea’s spouse, Jeff Lazkani, was rumored to be involved in an affair and had been spotted kissing a younger woman in the lobby of a hotel.
Chelsea alleged that Bre had instigated the on-camera portrayal of their affair, which subsequently led Emma to align herself with Chelsea.
Nicole shared with Bre her viewpoint: “It seems quite intriguing for Emma to discuss or interfere with others’ marriages, given some questionable rumors I’ve heard about it.”
In her situation, I’d advise caution as she’s associated with individuals it might be best to avoid.
‘Married people?’ Bre asked, to which Nicole replied: ‘I wouldn’t trust Emma with my husband.’
‘Not a husband snatcher?’ Bre quizzed, with Nicole agreeing with an ‘mhhm.’
‘First I heard it from someone I know very well,’ she continued.
‘And she has proof of this?’ Bre asked.
According to Nicole, she apparently had a face-to-face encounter with the individual in question.
She then added: ‘People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. Especially that one.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Emma’s rep for comment.
Though Emma hasn’t explicitly countered Nicole’s rumor, her co-stars Chelsea and Chrishell Stause have robustly supported her online and have leveled accusations at Done and Done Productions, the makers of Selling Sunset, claiming they’ve been disseminating falsehoods for increased viewership.
Through a series of passionate social media messages, Chrishell, aged 43, expressed her intention to leave the popular show prior to its eighth season debut, swearing off any future collaborations with Nicole. She also criticized the production company for what she perceived as a lack of chance provided to Emma to address a recent rumor.
She wrote: ‘Are we still giving airtime to LIARS who just want air time?’
In another upload she wrote: ‘I will NEVER work on a show with her on it again. I would rather be sued.
When viewing, be aware that she frequently spreads a horrific falsehood about a close friend which is undeniably untrue and extremely harmful. This allegation is completely baseless.
Afterward, she labeled both Done and Done Productions and wrote: “It’s appalling that you’d ambush her like this, revealing it publicly rather than giving her a chance to respond truthfully.”
Chelsea also publicly slammed ‘diabolical’ Nicole and the production company.
She said: ‘Good morning everyone except for @nicoleyoung. You are the most diabolical piece of [wastebasket emoji] I’ve ever met.
‘It seems like you’re planning to gossip about Emma since the rumors surrounding you are factual. Let’s observe how this strategy plays out for you… @done_and_done_productions, where do your ethical standards and honesty lie? Manufacturing falsehoods just for views is incredibly harmful.’
Dear Nicole, I’ve got to say, your unwavering commitment to upholding the sacredness of marriage is truly inspiring. You stand firm in your belief that sharing the rumor was necessary, a noble act to protect the institution we all cherish so deeply. Keep shining, my idol!
In a post on her Instagram, she expressed her firm belief and support for the importance and integrity of every marriage, speaking from her experience as a wife.
Instead of criticizing me and questioning my honesty, it might be beneficial for all of you to confront your close friend with some challenging queries.
Was it made clear to you that she faced her best friend, the wife, on camera during the season 7 finale?
Despite my earlier mention that it was merely a rumor, let me clarify that’s what it was. Considering your past experiences with infidelity, I assume you would agree on the importance and integrity of every marriage.
