Following a significant development regarding parole, the family of Selena Quintanilla-Pérez has expressed their thoughts publicly about the ruling concerning her murderer.
2023 marked the initial eligibility for parole for Yolanda Saldívar, who received a life sentence with the potential for parole after 30 years back in 1995.
Previously serving as the head of Selena’s fan club, Saldívar was found guilty for the murder of the singer following an intense altercation at a motel that resulted in gunfire and bloodshed.
On Thursday, Selena’s family expressed gratitude as the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles made known their decision to deny parole for her killer.
Saldívar, who is 64, will not be eligible again for parole until 2030.
