Selena Gomez says it is 'distasteful to talk about money' as she reacts to being worth $1.3 BILLION

As a devoted fan of Selena Gomez, I must say that her humility and gratitude towards her success never fail to amaze me. Despite reaching billionaire status and being a multihyphenate powerhouse, she remains grounded and acknowledges the role her fans play in her achievements. Her commitment to mental health advocacy, especially through Rare Beauty, is truly commendable.

Selena Gomez has said she thinks it’s ‘distasteful to talk about money.’

32-year-old entrepreneur behind the Rare Beauty line, who recently displayed her lively dance routines, shared thoughts on her brand’s achievements while discussing her billionaire status in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

On Monday evening, she expressed her heartfelt thanks, mentioning that while discussing money isn’t something she particularly enjoys, she feels compelled to acknowledge and appreciate those who purchase the products wholeheartedly.

She added, ‘They’re the ones that made this dream of mine come true. So I’m really, really honored and just happy.’

According to a report by Bloomberg on September 6th, this versatile individual has surpassed the $1.3 billion mark in wealth, making them eligible for the first time to be included in Bloomberg’s list of billionaires.

Ever since its debut in September 2020, Rare Beauty has gained immense popularity among influencers and Generation Z, becoming a significant contributor to Selena Gomez’s fortune, as reported by the outlet.

She has amassed her fortune through multiple avenues, including her successful music career, having won a Grammy, and her profitable acting gigs, such as on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place and Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.

And she sees success with frequent brand partnerships and endorsements.

It was disclosed by the data firm that around 81% of Gomez’s earnings come from her role within the beauty brand, based on findings from their analysis.

Endorsements rank second with 6.9% of her wealth and touring at 4.8% respectively.

This year, it was noted by Time magazine that Rare Beauty is a high-demand item at Sephora, consistently rising in popularity as its annual sales increase.

In May, Selena refuted allegations that she would sell her cosmetics business upon reaching a $2 billion valuation.

‘I don’t have any plans on that, genuinely,’ the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber responded.

She confessed that at times it becomes too much for her. There’s an odd aspect in her mind where concentrating on the figures could cause Rare Beauty to lose its unique charm. Money-making was never her primary goal with Rare Beauty, and she emphasized this point.

Selena’s comments comes just hours before Rare Beauty took to X to announce the return of Make A Rare Impact — a special fundraiser in honor of World Mental Health Day on October 10.

According to the post, Sephora will donate 100% of Rare Beauty sales worldwide.

This campaign intends to gather $100 million to enhance mental health services for young people globally. Join us in making an impact! On October 10th, for a 24-hour period, you can shop either online or in stores at Sephora. Let’s make a difference together!

Four years back, Selena expressed great enthusiasm when she first ventured into the beauty industry with her brand, aiming to boost self-confidence among its users.

As a dedicated follower, my mission is to unveil beauty products that not only provide a delightful experience but also honor the unique qualities that set each of us apart. These products aren’t about transforming into someone else; rather, they are about embracing and expressing who you truly are, whether that’s showcasing a vibrant array of bold makeup or simply flaunting your natural beauty with minimal adornment.

Uncommon Beauty stands out for its popular liquid blushes and lip glosses. Their prices vary, with a lotion pump costing around $3, while a collector’s set of liquid blush can reach up to $299.
