Selena Gomez ROASTS her new hairstyle: ‘I wonder if Willy Wonka is hiring’

Selena Gomez took to Instagram Stories Sunday with a joke about a new hairstyle she was sporting.

You know, I was just thinking about dream jobs, and it hit me – wouldn’t it be amazing to work at Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory? I’m seriously picturing myself alongside those incredible Oompa-Loompas from ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’! It’s a bit of a whimsical thought, but hey, a girl can dream, right?

The Texas native seemed to be talking about a hairstyle similar to the Oompa-Loompas from the 1971 film *Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory*.

In a self-portrait, the Emmy-nominated actress playfully sucked in her cheeks to highlight her new, stylish bob haircut. She was wearing a white top with a subtle amount of makeup.

The past few weeks have been busy for Selena Gomez following her wedding to music producer Benny Blanco on September 27th in Santa Barbara, California.

This year has been significant for Gomez, as she’s recently shared on social media about considering becoming a parent.

Selena Gomez has previously dated several well-known celebrities, including Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Nick Jonas.

Originally from Reston, Virginia, 37-year-old Blanco has worked in music for over 15 years, both as a performer and behind the scenes as a producer and songwriter.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Blanco has worked with many popular artists, including Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Lizzo, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, SZA, and Keith Urban.

Blanco established himself earlier in his career working for Dr. Luke’s Kasz Money Productions.

He’s written songs for many popular artists, including hits like Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger,” Britney Spears’ “Circus,” and Ke$ha’s “TiK ToK.”

As a solo artist, he released his first album Friends Keep Secrets in December of 2018. 

The album reached number 41 on the Billboard 200 chart and featured collaborations with popular artists like Justin Bieber, Halsey, Calvin Harris, Omar Apollo, and Gracie Abrams.

Over the past five years, he’s released six songs that made it onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart. These include “Eastside” featuring Halsey & Khalid in 2018, and both “Roses” with Juice WRLD and Brendon Urie, and “I Can’t Get Enough” with Gomez, Tainy and J Balvin, both released in 2019.

He’s recently released several popular songs, including “Lonely” with Justin Bieber and “Real S” with Juice WRLD in 2020, and “Bad Decisions” with BTS and Snoop Dogg in 2022.

Blanco chat with The New York Times in 2018 about his skillset when it comes to making music.

I’m not much of a performer – I can’t play concerts or impress anyone with musical instruments. What I *can* do is connect with artists, help them develop the right kind of song, and create a comfortable environment for everyone involved – almost like being a therapist.

There were previous reports that Blanco was dating Elsie Hewitt, a 27-year-old model and actress from London.
