At a recent interview, Selena Gomez shared details about her earliest crush on a celebrity – a revelation that might catch you off guard.

In a chat with Karol G for Complex’s GOAT Talk, the 32-year-old Texan shared what they both enjoy most.

At the close of the conversation, they inquired about each person’s preferred rap artist. The 34-year-old Colombian (born Carolina Giraldo Navarro) shared that she admired Eminem when she was younger, but currently prefers Nicki Minaj.

Growing up, one of Gomez’s favorites was Eminem. She explained this by saying that since her father was a DJ, he often remixed various tracks, and whenever it was an Eminem song, she would feel incredibly thrilled about it.

Yet, she disclosed that another rapper had been her earliest crush, dating back to when she was quite young.

What was the first celebrity that little Selena had a crush on? That honor went to Ice Cube, an unexpected choice since it happened before she even began kindergarten.

She revealed her first crush was none other than Ice Cube, a fact that left Karol G speechless and exclaimed, “Wow! He’s incredible!

When I was around five years old, I had a strong affection for him that feels strange now, but at the time, I believed he would keep me safe, shared Gomez about the rapper.

Last week, news outlets reported that Hailey Bieber, Justin Bieber’s wife, was unfollowed on social media by Gomez, following rumors of their separation.

Hailey also stopped following Gomez, suggesting that their brief ceasefire after a long-standing rumored disagreement might be over.

From December 2010 to March 2018, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had an on-again, off-again relationship. Shortly after their breakup, Bieber started dating Hailey, ultimately announcing their engagement in July 2018.

In 2022, they quashed the rumors of a dispute by appearing together for a photograph, and in 2023, they began mutually following one another on Instagram.

Over the following years, they’d occasionally show appreciation for each other’s posts. However, it appears that such interactions have ceased recently.

Gomez is now fiancée to record producer Benny Blanco, having been in a relationship for about a year and a half. It remains undecided when their wedding will take place.

Back in 2017, Gomez received a diagnosis of lupus. It’s worth noting that vaping may possibly affect her kidneys or lungs.
