Some people on social media criticized Selena, calling her ‘self-centered’ and ‘superficial,’ based on a recent video. Others accused her of inaction, given that she allegedly has a wealth of $1.3 billion.

Piers Morgan stated on X that it’s incredibly self-centered for celebrities to publicly cry about illegal immigrants who have committed crimes being deported.

It seems they expressed their thoughts quite strongly, questioning the purpose of such a statement, and suggesting it might be a publicity stunt. They appear to dismiss the importance of Selena Gomez’s opinion, advising that it would be best kept private. Overall, they found this behavior unbecoming.

Additionally, Gomez earned a BAFTA nomination for the category of Best Actress in a Supporting Role and was also recognized with a SAG Award nomination for Exceptional Ensemble Performance in a Film.
