Selena Gomez posted an enthusiastic message detailing their experience creating “I Said I Love You First” alongside her future husband, Benny Blanco.

32-year-old star of “The Only Murders in the Building,” who is also known as the show’s lead actor, posted two photos on Instagram to announce the release of “I Said I Love You First – Explained,” a production that includes narration by Selena Gomez.

During the journey of producing our latest album, Benny and I collected an abundance of fantastic memories. I thought it would be great to share some behind-the-scenes stories and insights about how these songs were created with all of you,” her caption started off.

Gomez’s first complete album since 2020’s Rare is titled “I Said I Love You First”. This new project demonstrates that she has regained a fresh enthusiasm for music.

The album tells a personal narrative, tracing the couple’s romantic journey – from before they knew each other, through their blossoming love, and into the unknown of what lies ahead.

The 14-song collaboration features Emilia Perez, aged 32, and her acclaimed music producer partner, 37, expressing intense emotion throughout the album, starting with “Cowboy” – a steamy ballad that captures the heat of their passionate love story.

Gomez sings alluringly, suggesting that he wants you to behave as if wicked women have made him kneel, and then kiss as though we are destined for one another. He then leans in to say softly, ‘Place your hands on me, move upon it like a skilled cowboy.’

On Bluest Flame, she maintains a continuous, seductive vibe, playfully expressing, “I’d love to dance all night, I’m feeling quite uncontainable.

And the steam doesn’t stop there.

On Sunset Boulevard, Gomez playfully banters with Blanco, crooning about desiring to embrace his ‘massive, strong, firm… heart.’

As a die-hard fan, I must confess my obsession with the latest album isn’t solely about personal confessions from the bedroom. Instead, Gomez delves into introspection on “Ojos Tristes,” a beautiful, partly Spanish ballad that transports me back to one last moment with an old lover.

In a little over 35 minutes, the song “I Said I Love You First” showcases notable partnerships. Gracie Abrams contributes her voice to “Call Me When You Break Up,” while Tainy and J Balvin contribute to “I Can’t Get Enough.

I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting project, where I join other remarkable artists like Maria Zardoya. She graciously lends her enchanting voice for the track “Ojos Tristes.” Additionally, Finneas and Charli XCX have also played significant roles as songwriters in this release.

As a devoted fan, I found myself immersed from the get-go when the collaboration between Abrams and Sunset Blvd was unveiled. This captivating track, titled ‘Sunset Blvd’, is a heartfelt tribute born out of their enchanting first date.

Benny said: ‘She’d wake up, I’d have a pen out, and I’d write what was on her mind.

After that, we moved into another space where we crafted it, and it transformed into a melody. The process was incredibly healing and relaxing.

Following this, we ventured to another area to make it, and eventually, it evolved into a tune. It was an exceptionally calming and rejuvenating journey.
