Seiko Welcomes Three New Icy Watches to the Presage Cocktail Time Collection

Summary

  • Seiko expands its Presage Cocktail Time collection with three frozen cocktail-inspired watches
  • Each model features a 34mm case, diamond indices and textured dials resembling crushed ice
  • Currently available for pre-order

Following the release of the Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT 60th Anniversary model, Seiko introduces three fresh updates to its Presage Cocktail Time line-up: “Skydiving in Frozen Skies,” “Frozen Mojito,” and “Frozen Daiquiri.” Ideal for the summer season, these new designs bring a cool, elegant touch to the existing Presage collection with hints of shimmer.

This collection is centered around a “Daytime Cocktail Party” motif, inspired by iced cocktails concocted by Hisashi Kishi, the chief mixologist at Tokyo’s Star Bar. Each timepiece boasts a sleek 34mm case, embellished with four diamond markers and a dial textured to resemble crushed ice. The watches come with tapered, mirror-polished, multi-link bands.

As a fan, I’d say “Experience the ‘Frozen Skydiving’ watch with its mesmerizing light blue dial, reminiscent of a tropical cocktail made from rum, blue curaçao, and lime juice. On the other hand, the ‘Frozen Mojito’ watch offers a fresh, vibrant green face, capturing the essence of Kishi’s interpretation of the iconic minty mojito drink.

The “Frozen Daiquiri” model resembles the Frozen Banana Daiquiri, a delightful mix of banana liqueur, brown sugar, lime juice, frozen bananas, and rum. What sets this version apart is its golden-toned hands, indices, and bracelet links, which harmonize with the dial’s vibrant color scheme.

The timepieces run on an in-house 4R35 automatic movement, offering a 40-hour power reserve and a daily accuracy of +45/-35 seconds. Pre-orders are now open for the three latest Seiko Presage Diamond Cocktail Time models, priced between £500 – £540 GBP (approximately $666 – $719 USD), available through the brand’s UK website.
