SEGA first revealed Football Club Champions in July 2025, and a limited beta test followed in August. Initially, the game was scheduled to launch in 2025, but SEGA decided to postpone it to refine the experience. The game officially launched on January 22, 2026.

This game, built on the popular Football Manager engine and using official FIFPRO player data, lets you take charge of real players and compete in leagues around the world, including the J League and K League. The core gameplay centers around developing a club for the long term.

Build your dream team by scouting and signing players, designing training routines, and improving your facilities. Handle player transfers and guide your team from a struggling underdog to a championship force. Plus, compete against others in player-versus-player modes, cup games, and international competitions.

Leaderboards let you see how your club stacks up against other players. The game is free and lets you play on your phone, computer, or console – and you can even switch between devices without losing your progress! This means you can continue playing wherever and however you like.
