  • The lineup also highlights dynamic, heavy-pressure linework from artist Shohei Ochiai

SEGA is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a special pop-up shop in Shibuya’s MIYASHITA PARK. The shop features a unique collection of 40 original items that move beyond typical video game merchandise. Instead of just selling branded products, SEGA has partnered with talented artists to create high-quality, handcrafted pieces inspired by their classic games. The focus is on artistry and innovative design, bringing SEGA’s digital world to life through tangible, beautifully made clothing and objects.

The collection’s unique look comes from Nukeme’s special glitch embroidery. Instead of traditional sewing, the artist manipulates the computer code of the sewing machines, causing intentional errors during production. This creates a deliberate ‘glitch’ effect that distorts recognizable SEGA images and logos, transforming digital mistakes into textured, physical designs.

This 40-piece collection is made special by unique artistry, including work from Shohei Ochiai, who’s known for his bold, energetic line drawings. He’s added a hand-drawn feel to the designs, which started as digital creations. The “65th THE LIMITED SHOP” pieces also feature contributions from artists like Shinknowsuke, Bokunou, and Lugosis & Strato, blending 65 years of video game history with modern, streetwear style.

We’ll share more details about the clothing line soon. The SEGA “65th THE LIMITED SHOP” collection will be available only at a special pop-up shop in Shibuya’s MIYASHITA PARK, from May 21st to May 28th.
