Wayne Knight perfectly portrayed Newman, the annoying mailman on Seinfeld, becoming a character audiences loved to dislike.
Even though he wasn’t a series regular, Newman was probably the most recognizable and beloved recurring character on the classic sitcom.
Outside of Seinfeld, he memorably starred in Jurassic Park, 3rd Rock From The Sun, and Space Jam.
He was even visible directly across from Sharon Stone during the famous interrogation scene in the movie Basic Instinct.
At 70 years old, veteran actor Knight is enjoying a career resurgence thanks to his part in the popular horror film sequel, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

Last week, the new father attended the Los Angeles premiere of the film at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
He looked dapper in a maroon turtleneck and black blazer as he worked the red carpet.
Knight plays villainous science teacher Mr. Berg in Five Nights At Freddy’s 2.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 earned over $110 million in just a few days since its release on Friday, and it continues to be very popular.
The horror movie sequel has broken several box office records, becoming the highest-grossing horror film released in December and achieving the biggest opening weekend ever for a movie released after Thanksgiving.
Despite receiving harsh criticism from both reviewers and players, the video game adaptation has become a commercial success.
Reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes have given Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 consistently low scores, averaging between 12% and 15%.
At one point, it was the worst-reviewed wide release film of the year.

Critic Peter Travers called the sequel a terrible horror film, saying it’s neither fun nor scary. He was more worried about how much money it would likely make than about being frightened by the movie itself.
The movie Five Nights at Freddy’s is based on the popular video game series created by Scott Cawthon in 2014, and stars Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, and Matthew Lillard.
The story starts with Mike Schmidt, a security guard with a difficult past, taking a job at the rundown Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria.
Let me tell you, things take a seriously creepy turn. This guy starts working at a family diner and quickly realizes the robotic characters aren’t just malfunctioning – they’re haunted by the ghosts of children who were tragically murdered. And, even worse, they’re not content being alone; they desperately want his little sister to become one of them. It’s a nightmare scenario, honestly!
The movie was a surprisingly huge hit when it came out in 2023. It made an incredible $297 million at the box office despite only costing $20 million to make, and it was released in theaters and on Peacock streaming at the same time.
The new movie takes place a year after the first one, continuing the story of Mike and his sister Abby as they fight against haunted animatronics, including one with the voice of Megan Fox.
Matthew Lillard, the actor, has suggested a third movie might be happening, but there’s been no official confirmation so far.
