See what ’70s hunk Shaun Cassidy, 66, of Hardy Boys fame looks like now as he announces tour
Seventies heartthrob Shaun Cassidy is launching his first-ever 50-city North American tour.
It kicks off at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
66-year-old Shaun gained popularity as a teen idol in the late ’70s. He’s known for his work as a singer, actor, author, and producer.
The star’s hit songs include Hey Deanie, It’s Like Heaven and Be My Baby.
Apart from his fame, he is recognized for conceiving and managing television series such as American Gothic, Roar, and Invasion. He also gained notoriety for his role in the hit series The Hardy Boys alongside Parker Stevenson.
Originating from a theatrical background is Cassidy, whose parents – Jack Cassidy and Shirley Jones – were both accomplished actors. His half-brother, renowned for being a singer and actor, is David Cassidy, best known for his role in The Partridge Family.

The Path to Us offers an electrifying night filled with live music and storytelling, performed by the captivating Cassidy. Although she’s been away from the limelight for several years, writing and producing TV shows, her passion for live performances has remained unwavering.
The latest performance titled “The Enchantment of the Night Canvas” drew capacity audiences and positive reviews from critics.
He shared with DailyMail.com that ‘The Path to Us’ prioritizes enjoyment initially, followed by a deeper bond – a bond he considers crucial in these times, more so than before.
Regardless if it’s in a grand auditorium or a simple dining room, uniting individuals – be it through laughter, tears, or shared music – is akin to igniting a rocket for the spirit. I can’t conceive of a more compelling motive to embark on the ultimate journey by car!
Shaun hails from a theatrical family background; his mother, Shirley Jones, has an Academy Award under her belt, while his father, Jack Cassidy, boasts of a Tony Award.
During his time at high school, Shaun secured a deal with Warner Bros. Records, which propelled him to fame with three multi-platinum albums and many Top Ten hits, including the chart-topping single ‘Da Doo Ron Ron.’
He was nominated for a GRAMMY award due to his hard work and played concerts at all of the nation’s significant arenas, such as Houston’s Astrodome and New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Almost concurrently, he starred in the ABC television series The Hardy Boys Mysteries.
After spending more than a year performing in the successful Broadway play Blood Brothers alongside his half-brother David, Shaun penned his debut television pilot, titled American Gothic – an intense and captivating drama that marked him as a promising writing talent.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but boast about the incredible accomplishments of Shaun, who has left an indelible mark on television! This creative genius is responsible for crafting, scripting, and overseeing numerous critically-acclaimed series, such as Roar (with Heath Ledger in the spotlight), Cold Case, Cover Me, The Agency, Invasion, and Emerald City. Simply amazing!
More recently, he has served as executive producer and writer for five years on the popular NBC/Netflix show, New Amsterdam.
As a lifestyle guru looking back on my tumultuous teen idol years, I not only managed to endure the chaos but flourished, finding solace and tranquility in the picturesque vineyards of Santa Barbara, where I built a life with my beloved wife Tracey, our four children, and an ever-growing menagerie of furry friends.
Working together with the non-profit organization, No Kid Hungry, this family creates a line of high-quality wines called “My First Crush”. A portion of the sales from these wines is contributed towards providing meals for undernourished children across the country.
