Last week, Donald and Melania Trump traveled to the UK for an official state visit. They were welcomed by the Royal Family with an incredibly lavish and impressive display of ceremony.
With the President back in the United States, we’re now learning more about his recent trip – including some behind-the-scenes details and how people in Britain reacted, according to a source familiar with the situation.
While Princess Kate had her usual stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker, style her curls, Melania Trump also wanted a glamorous look for the trip. The former model brought in London-based hairdresser Lino Carbosiero to create her hairstyles.
He and an assistant spent two days deep inside Trump’s inner circle – and have plenty to share.
Carbosiero is a stylist at Daniel Galvin salon and received an MBE in 2014 for his contributions to the hairdressing industry.
He rose to prominence styling celebrities, including Kylie Minogue’s first album cover. He then became the lead stylist for the first three seasons of The X Factor. In 2008, he began styling the hair of Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife, Samantha, a service that later earned him an MBE.
He also looked after the Trumps on their last State Visit in 2016.
The big question everyone seems to wonder is how Donald Trump styles his hair and takes care of his skin – and who helps him achieve that look?

According to a reliable source, the boss handles everything personally, picking up a few helpful tips from his wife along the way.
I’m told: ‘Donald does his own hairstyling and make-up – it’s not a professional job.’
Okay, so I’ve heard from someone who’s *seen* Melania up close, and let me tell you, it’s fascinating! Apparently, she does her own makeup, which is amazing, but… it’s *a lot*. Like, really full coverage. It looks flawless in pictures, absolutely stunning, but this source said when you see her in person, she’s shockingly tan! Like, as orange as Donald! I know it sounds crazy, but I’m obsessed with knowing everything about her, and this detail? It’s wild!
Donald Trump’s distinctive hairstyle – created with backcombing, carefully folding the hair, and a lot of hairspray – has always attracted attention.
You know, as someone who’s observed a lot of personal styles, I’ve heard some interesting things about how people like to have their hair cut. I once heard from Donald Trump’s former barber, Adrian Wood, that getting his hair just right was… a process. Apparently, Mr. Trump would direct exactly where to cut – ‘here, here, here’ – and then immediately tell him to stop, moving around the head like that. It was all very specific and he really controlled the whole experience, section by section.
Wood explained, using hand motions, ‘We didn’t operate on this area of his head. He’s responsible for its care himself.’
As a longtime follower of Trump, I always found his hair fascinating, and I recently heard from Amy Lasch, who used to style it for *The Apprentice*. She revealed something pretty shocking! Apparently, a professional wasn’t touching his hair. She said looking at the back, it was clear someone amateur was cutting it – just a straight line, which she found unsettling. She believes someone close to him – possibly Melania or Ivanka – was actually doing his haircuts and color!

She added that it wasn’t possible to comb it because so much hairspray had been used.
According to sources, the Trumps were first introduced to hairstylist Carbosiero during their 2016 visit, and he’s also styled the hair of other prominent figures like Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton.
So how do the Trumps measure up? I hear that the power couple were nothing but charming in person.
According to a friend, Donald and Melania Trump are very kind to their son, Lino, and consistently treat him with respect and politeness. The friend notes they extend the same courtesy to Lino’s assistant, which always makes Lino happy. They are very good to him.
Amanda Cook Tucker has been Kate’s hairdresser since 2012 and often travels with her and Prince William when they visit other countries. While Richard Ward is usually responsible for Kate’s hair colour, she reportedly does her own makeup.
It’s unclear who influences Kate Middleton’s fashion choices, but there’s a story about Prince William once spending £180 on a haircut a few years ago – apparently, he wanted to make his receding hairline less noticeable.
